PLEASE NOTE THIS IS FOR THE NEWER HTC DESIRE S WITH ANDROID 2.3 GINGERBREAD AND NOT TO BE CONFUSED WITH THE OLDER LOWER SPEC STANDARD DESIRE.

NO REDEMPTIONS OR CASHBACK CLAIMS REQUIRED.

Must be a misprice as total payment over 24 months is £240 (£190 if Quidco tracks) - Cheapest to get this phone on PAYG is about £350.

Granted, not many minutes or internet but surely worth it for the phone alone and then give sim away and use your own - phone likely to come unlocked.

My Quidco tracked at £50, followed procedure below

1) Deleted cookies on IE
2) Logged into Quidco
3) Searched for "Dial-A-Phone"
4) Clicked on the "Get Cashback link"
5) Copied and pasted "http://www.dialaphone.co.uk/aw2/phone/HTC_Desire_S/" into the browser window

Hi guys, Ian from CompareMobileDeals here, since news on the dialaphone deal broke out a few hrs ago we've been inundated with questions about whether dialaphone have made a mistake or not.

Getting a lot of repeat questions via live help, being a saturday theres only a couple in our office so to save our typing fingers from premature arthritis we need to let you know we just dont know yet.

Ill let you know as soon as we know. All the networks and retailers pass deal info to us (sometimes exclusively) so theres a chance they put a deal up they shouldnt have and theres a chance its legit.

Fingers crossed,

Ian

p.s. In preparation for any disappointment I'm considering asking my boss if we can randomly give away a HTC Desire S in return for clicking our new facebook like button on our site or maybe a follow/tweet. We're a small new team so our visitors are important to us. No promises as he's at his daughters 5th birthday party today but I'll report back and put any news on our site. pps thanks for finding the deal on our site, we have the largest impartial comparison range bar none

Can't believe some have deemed this cold - any reason.
#3
Fantastic deal, should be red hot.
#4
Is it unlocked or might be?
#5
Think this will get a little warm - its better than the O2 deal of a few weeks back.

You usually get free insurance for a month but you just ring up and cancel. You are billed online so no itemised billing through the post fees. Contracts are much better than they used to be - much cheaper although they are generally over a longer term.

Dont anyone ring dialaphone as it lowers the chance of us getting one!

Hopefully they'll come in on monday and start shipping the orders before they realise. X)
#14
In the checkout process it asks for a t-mobile number. What's that about? I don't have a T-mobile number.

#19

Sounds way too good to be true, i'd snap this deal if there was something similar on a galaxy s 2! Regardless, this is a mega hot deal!

Just checked and can't find it through Quidco either but even without Quidco I think it's a great deal - will edit title just in case some complain that it is misleading.

Yep, I've ordered anyway. Was considering going for a 25% NHS discount desire HD but this is a better value deal for me.

PAYG Desire S = £350
24 month Contract = £240
Ebay listing fee for each phone = £55

= 55 profit

Take out huge loan to pay for phone contracts as you can't do it all at once = Interest.

Buy 10,000 Desire S's.

Phone Contract bill = £100,000 a month for 24 months = £2.4 million
Cash from selling phones = 10,000 x £350 = £3.5 million
Ebay listing fees + Interest = £650,000

Profit = £450,000

Paying a team of people to organise all this for you = £200,000

Advertising fees = £200,000

Paying people to stop everyone finding out what you're doing because it's probably illegal = £30,000

Paying people to burn all the useless sim cards = £10,000

Administrative costs = £5000

Travelling to places to tell people what to do petrol costs = £4999.50

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you do all the above, you recieve a free twix as profit.

The total cost of the contract is lower than buying the phone PAYG, so just pop a £10 a month GiffGaff SIM like the one here (I'm not advertising lol) http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/250-mins-unlimited-texts-unlimited-internet-10-per-month-giff-gaff/865252

It is on Quidco, on the Dial-a-Phone page.

Quidco

£50

for a connected contract mobile phone (Orange, O2, T-Mobile, 3, Vodafone)
