dont know why someone voted it cold without offering a better deal.

i dont need this sort of thing now i live by the sea anyway but i would much rather spend my time in places like cornwall, devon, scottish coastlines or the welsh coasts than spend 2 days of my holidays at an airport if i only had 7 days.

your not guaranteed sunshine but you will still have loads to do, ideal for young familes who would rather do things than sit on a beach all day long and then go out on the lash.

otherwise a cheapo to salou would do the trick, in which case you probably wouldnt be looking at this deal anyway?

Some good work there. Thanks will look into them ;-)

Heat and rep added.

Went Newquay 3 years ago and despite going to Ibiza and Spain i think i had more fun in Newquay.

Great deals, spend your hard earned cash back in this country instead of making Europe richer with the rip off Euro.

Last year we did self catering in Ibiza for 14 nights for 2 adults and 2 kids under 3 for £1500 flights and self catering doss hole, the euro was high so it was £4.75 a pint and £9.25 burger and chips. Whole holiday was nearly £4000.

This year we did half board at Haven in Exmouth, 14 nights for £800 half board, £8.99 a pitcher of lager and burger and chips for £4.50. A few nice days of sun but overall the kids had activities from 10am to 10pm so less stressful for us trying to entertain them.

I know where we will be going this year and helping to boost this country's economy!

Did 2 long weekends last year at the Minerva hotel, kids stay free if sharing room with parents great place opposite the little bridge shown in picture, think B&B cost us £70 per night b&b (£35 each + free kids) probably gone up a bit now but they had everything from beach mats and games right through to wet suits and body boards to borrow at no extra charge, great place for families with kids as there was no stuffiness and you could come and go as you please. Had great weather first weekend not so good 2nd but still had a great time. The seals in Newquay Harbour are amazing! I'll definately be back.

Heat added :-)

Thanks. The admin didn't think so and removed two of my other posts then PMed me to ask if I had a connection to a site! I thought I was doing people a favour posting my research but instead I get my posts removed and accused of breaking the rules despite the fact I've posted deals from several different sites! Unbelievable! You'd think they'd bother to ask before removing posts. I won't bother posting anymore if they're just going to get taken down.

Good find. Don't be put off. The Mods often seem to act in a very blinkered way and delete stuff with absolutely no justification. Keep the good deals coming.

I have voted this cold sorry, but I will give my own reason below:
I am also going to Newquay start of this June, staying for 6days- 5nights for 2 people and this hotel only cost me £200.00 all in inicluding hot breakfast.
Errant Surfing school is NOT the cheapest surfing school. Based on my little research recently, Bluewing is. I dont know how good they are so I will not comment their cereditability rather than fancy websites.
3 days surf school and 3 nights accomodation in Bluewings will only cost you £79.00 (although they dont have the dates I wanted available). Errant will cost you £179 (£100 if reduced accordingly to adverts).
Boys and Girls, if you are going to do a surfing + accomodation please do some research. There were loads out there that I think is cheaper!
Someone may want to comment on my opinion?

Thanks!

They don't welcome kids as the town has set itself up as a destination for drunken stag parties!

I live near Newquay but don't go there with kids. I've seen hypodermic needles on the beach, people throwing up in the street at lunchtime, fighting. etc.

Not somewhere I'd dream of taking my kids really!

It's a shame, as the location is superb!

Crantock beach is fabulous. Just round the headland from Newquay and you can escape the madness and tacky tourismo.

Polly Joke is another nice beach close by.

Go, and enjoy.

I suppose I really shouldn't attract more people to one of our favourite places to stay in Porth (just outside Newquay) but in amongst the bunch here is "Porth Veor Villas & Apartments". Really great hotel and the apartments (attached) are fantastic, you might even meet Alexie Sayle who stayed there once when we did. Food and service is excellent and the location is well clear of the noisy (youths) parts of Newquay and almost right on the beach with excellent walks. Also close enough to walk into Newquay town centre.

Good to see deal posted as more are taking holidays in UK.

Cut and paste - err isn't that the essence of HUKD's? You see a deal and you (cut n') paste it here for all to see?

All good except - '2. Kids stay for FREE when sharing their parents accommodation all year, except the main school summer holidays.' Now what is the point in highlighting that??

Picked up a tourism DVD from the 'Best of UK & Eire Exhibition' in London a month ago (free tickets thanks to HUKD!), and have concluded that Newquay seems a fantastic place to go...
