I hope that i've done the right thing by posting this again - as last weeks post has quite rightly been expired, so i'm not too sure what to do. The News Of The World - according to another email that i've had from them, are running the promotion for the second week in a row this Sunday :). So for anyone who isn't aware of it already, spend 95p on the paper and get a £5 off a £30 Spend Voucher printed inside (valid INSTORE @ Tesco) - so still saving £4.05. Again, i've linked to the Tesco site as there is no mention of it yet on the NOTW site. I hope this helps someone :)

Fab!! I read about this for last week on this site, bought a couple of NOTW's and saved myself and friend £15 this week!! will do the same now I know about this week as well! PS....kids can recycle the NOTW for papier mache too!!....get the wall paper paste out!
banned#3
the NOTW must be shifting some copies of these papers, wonder how long before other papers follow..

Man, I can't take buying 4 copies of this rubbish again and then going home and explaining why I have bought not one but four copies of this trash. I guess I could just bin them after taking out the tokens before I got home. Why didn't I think of that last week - I guess you could look quite mad doing that.

Why is it trash?

I find it is an easy read and I don't get bored reading it. Yet it still keeps you in touch with the latest headlines.

Forget sleeping tablets, I recommend reading the Daily Mail/Express/Telegraph if you want a good nights sleep! :whistling:

Can these be used on petrol?
#12
can you use more than 1 voucher per £30 spend?
#13
no you cant use it for petrol or fags booze ok though lol
#14
this deal will be on for the school holidays apparently
#15
Thanks - saved £4.05 last week with this. It's just the shame of buying the thing! Tesco must be pretty desperate to keep up their market share at the moment.
#16
Thanks, will be buying some more on Sunday!

You can only use one for each £30 spend, but you can divide your shopping up into several transactions - there's a sub-total thingy on the till display so you can see when you've reached £30. I bought some baby milk though which confused things as it's excluded from the £30 threshold.

I used 3 yesterday, and the till also spat out a '£5 off when you spend over £50' on my first transaction, but not the other 2 - you can use the NOTW and one of these together if you're lucky enough to get one. Sadly the 5p petrol thing is finished.

There's another deal posted somewhere about getting billions (well, some) free extra clubcard points on the Back to School brochure - could be a profitable shop if you do that too!

Pretty sure we got nappies and they were included no problem.

Also last time offer was on we frequently spent £60 and used two tokens without any problems.
#23
Spend £1 to save £5 if you spend £30.

£4 saving, not so much of a hot deal, but OK if you buy the paper and shop at tesco anyway.

nice find..!

Not hot?
It went to 946 deg. last week, so others don't agree.
#26
Can the voucher be used at Asda. I'm due to do a big shop there
#27
Baby nappies included
It's only the infant milk and milk formulas that Tesco excludes from every deal - they don't even earn Clubcard points. I'd love to know why, if anyone knows - is it because they are vat-excluded?

Don't have time to read that in full, but I'm assuming that it's not allowed in order to promote breastfeeding. That's great - I'm a breastfeeding mum and think everyone who can do it should do it. However, living in the real world, we buy a few cartons of baby milk a week just to make life that little bit easier. I seriously doubt that by offering Clubcard points on SMA that people would abandon all breastfeeding in order to spend several quid a day to get a few quid a year in vouchers!

And yes, you can buy nappies with this deal. There was 25% extra free on Huggies when I was in yesterday, but not much really worth stocking up on.

I haven't done any research on the matter, but i'm not sure there is a whole lot of difference, I was brought up on baby food, as was my sister and brother. Along with my new baby sister. We're all perfectly healthy

Haha at least it isn't the Sunday Sport you got to buy for the voucher

Could this be used on the 500gb external drive they have for 59.99?? cos that would be quite good :)
