If you're new to Andriod TV and Kodi, this box is for you. i was new to Andriod TV and Kodi about 3 months ago and now a convert. Not the cheapest this box has been (around £5 cheaper) but it's an ideal starting point.

I have just purchase my second box for upstairs, i also have my WD Cloud running in Kodi which is a life saver.

NEXBOX A95X is a super-mini Android TV box. It is equipped with quad core Amlogic S905X Cortex A53 CPU which will provide a better experience for users in appreciating the 4K ultimate HD video.

Main Features:

● Android 6.0: comparing to the former version, people can easily install or uninstall applications and games.

● H265 and VP9 decoding show the absolute mainstream formats.

● HDR demonstrates the vivid contrast and clarity.

● KODI supported: KODI can be used for playing almost all latest audio and video formats.

● The remote control for A95X comes with two special features: one-key to Live and one-key to KODI. Just press one-key and you can watch live TV programs. Also, press one-key and you can come to the KODI interface.

● Dolby plus DTS audio encoding bring the dynamic and surround sound.

● 4K x 2K decoding is especially for the competitions live.

● It has LED indicators: Blue stands for the operation of the box, the red light represents the sleep condition.

It doesn't run Android TV OS, the box is normal Android which was designed to run on a touch screen interface.

normal android, same as all other android boxes?

Nvidia Shield, Xiaomi Mi Box, Nexus Player, Sony Android TV's, Sharp Android Tv's, Philips Android Tv's, AFTV series (albeit a heavily skinned version) all run Android TV OS which was designed for TV and for a remote control style interface.
To put it another way the blurb of "Android TV Box" is pure marketing lies which is what all these third party Chinese boxes claim when none of them actually run the OS which they incline you to believe they do. Or another point being don't tar Android TV with the experience you will get with these devices. Don't expect to be getting any firmware updates, OS updates or security patches.

i don't think any one is trying to deceive anyone,
when they call it 'android TV box'
would you prefer they called it 'a box which is running a version of android that is not the android TV version of android but a similar version to your tablet box that plugs into your TV.

nige182 said this works with a USB Xbox One controller, though not sure how powerful this will be for games. I'm still trying to get my niece a cheap one for her Nexbox A95X (my Amazon Warehouse order got cancelled :()

Seems a good price for the specs. Why is this cold?

i would hazard a guess at the second comment and that it's gearbest, which people seem to vote down regardless, unless it's something that costs less than 10p delivered.

It was £25 back in September and the 2GB/8GB version is only £26 with a voucher code (on slickdeals).

The specs are good but I also thought i saw it somewhat cheaper on Gearbest a month or so ago. Gearbest prices fluctuate constantly and from my own experience and from what I've also read on other sites, they will cancel your order at the drop of a hat.

This is the best box ive had but I got mine from bangood for 25
It updates straight on installation and is android 6.0
I dont even turn my desktop on anymore as this is
Just more convenient. I dont use the remote I have plugged
A wireless mouse and keyboard in.
Definitely going to get this for other room

I use mine as a torrent box (wired ethernet, lower power than my PC and can be left on 24/7) next to my computer and to web browse. I've got my mouse and keyboard connected to it via a USB switch.

I've tried to use it as a mini-media server. It can see my 256GB USB pendrive and casts to other android devices, but I've not managed to send it to a TV over my network.

If you want to play games that demand more than a click or drag of a mouse in a single region of the screen, you won't be able to do it on this.
