The next sale started on the 27th last year and its not like any other sale most of the stuff is gone by 10am....
#11
Thank goodness it's 7am... I'm out the day before and was panicking about getting there on time with the hangover. It'll be grab and run for me :-)
#12
great I get a lie in :)
#13
Not again lol I sat in my car at like 4am or something while my partner and her mum went last year. There was loads of girls walking around everywhere with next bags.
#14
the opening time will be store specific tho wont it? some stores will open earlier than 7am.
#15
one to avoid - thanks for the heads up:thumbsup:

This feels wrong

Boxing day should be a day of crap tv and turkey sandwiches. Not battling it out in the annual Next jumble sale
Lots of people don't wash before going there early which makes it smell too.
#17
I haven't been to a next sale for years which has been worth it.
#18
It's the day after boxing day :-)
#19
Shopping on Boxing Day...it shouldnt be allowed LOL! :w00t:
Good luck to all the brave ones - me, I'll be in bed, then at home with my family enjoying the rest of Christmas!!! ...Oh and lets hope I get a VIP slot for the web :whistling:

Hey I didnt say I was perfect!
#20
7am would mean there will be more people than the 5am openings.
I must get there for 6 and camp it out. :pirate:

I fully agree. I'd rather sit in comfort at home and pay a few quid extra for clothes. The bit about not washing is just gross :?
#22
thanks - can't wait to get in there and battle it out for some bargains :)

are you sure your the right colour?
#28
Their sale is poor imo, full of odd left over rubbish, old stock, etc.
#29
love the next xmas sale, my little girl couldnt go last year with me as she had chicken pox she loves to shop already and is only 5 but i cant afford to buy stuff out of there unless it is in the sales, best find as yet was last year managed to get her the spongebob t-shirt and she still wears it almost constantly now 1 yr on.

having 2 kids i will def be there and they help to wake me up early enough to get there at a good time too LOL. we have 2 next stores here and neither get manic in the sales so i can usually hit both and grab some kiddy bargains

It started on Boxing Day last year, and the year before, and the year before..........

I make a point of being there for opening :-D
#31
cold... old out of season stock they're getting rid of, they'll be nothing decent...
#32
The Next Sale is usually on the day after Boxing Day, however due to that day falling on a sunday they are not allowed to run it on that day due to health and safety regulations and opening times on a sunday, so this year it is on boxing day, but it is not always on boxing day xxx

Always been the 27th here in Cambridge
#34
they take out most of their regular stock before the sale begins, so all that gets put out is the stuff they couldn't sell during the rest of the year. The stuff you see in the store today, is not what you will see when the sale starts.

Add to that the crush of people and the sweaty heat of the store, inability to try anything on, and long queues - I'll give this a miss
#35
If you are worried about buying something and it then going half price in the sales start checking the white swing tickets on the clothes.

They will probably have started sale prep (if not very soon) and any label that has info written with pencil WILL be in the sale.

So buy it now and return it after boxing day and then ask them to buy it back! They will not say no!!!
#36
I think this sale is their best - especially if I get a VIP slot. This is when everything I have had my eye on in the last couple of months is half price and I usually manage to buy it :)
