Nextbase 112 Dashcam comes along with SD Card and Carry Case. It is the cheapest I can find. I know it's only 720p cam and only 120 degree view angle but a carry case itself with sd card costs £20 in Halfrauds.

Few words about what this devil thing can do:

With a 120° wide angle view and 720p high-definition recording, the Nextbase 112 dash cam records every moment of your journey and also helps provide you with instant evidence to prove an accident wasn’t your fault. It comes with an innovative Click & Go powered magnetic mount that uses magnets and powered touch points to allow the camera to be free from wires. For convenience, a special loop-recording feature prevents the recording from stopping once the SD memory card is full. Also, SOS data protection stops the impact or event from being deleted, while a file locking system stores any footage you might want to view again.

The Nextbase 112 dash cam supports SDHC and SDXC Micro SD cards up to 32GB, and is powered by a rechargeable lithium-ion battery with up to 30 minutes backup in the event of an accident. It can easily be installed with the 4m long 12V power cable and can also be hardwired in.

I have one of these I got at Halfords with a voucher I was given after Christmas. It works pretty well and you can get a decent hardwire kit for £12-£15 on amazon.

What is not so good is the sucker that fits it to the screen. In cold weather it drops off or just wont stick at all, heated screens are an issues. Nextbase offer a solution but it will run you another £12 which is there super mount which I believe they now put in there high end camera boxes.

I've seen reviews photos of this on Amazon, the images it captures don't seem very wide. Only covers the bonnet area and not beyond either side of it. Been looking at getting a cheap dashcam for a while.

This is a good deal and I voted hot. However, if you can afford it, I'd say pay the extra for the 312GW, you won't regret it.

Is there a link for this one u recommend?

I'm very confused about dashcams, but need to get one. Lots of lunatics out there.

Hi,
Here is the one I mentioned:
http://www.halfords.com/technology/dash-cams/dash-cams/nextbase-dash-cam-312gw
It was awarded the 'Which: Best Buy' award.
There is also a comparison chart on the site which shows the major differences.
Like I said, it is more expensive than the original post, but in my opinion, well worth paying for.

Just returned mine. was missing out recordings - there'd be consecutive 3 minute recordings then an unexplained gap of anything up to 30 minutes and then they'd start again. Didn't notice the screen going off for 30 minutes and its next to the mirror so I see it regularly. Also it kept turning itself on and off whilst in the car and wouldn't stay switched off when removed - kept beeping as well, most annoying!
My 202 is fine though, over a year old and now I've got the right card in it its been trouble free.

I have it for a month now and it works perfect, nothing like you mentioned. Must be a doggy unit you've had.
