Is it 6p or £389 then?

It has been this price for about past 4-6 months on Amazon. Don't see any deal here at all. Been watching it myself after the release of the Pixel ranges but they have still yet to dip.

Can't see the price going down, Pixel hasn't been received well at all so brt there will be a big demand for 6p. Hard to get hold of.

In all honesty me neither especially with the price point they entered the pixels at. No harm in hoping though, just a new mobile for a family member is on the Christmas list :)

Very very very over priced, no way they are worth it. I would recommend waiting till they get reviewed before buying.

Bits I've read so far. Camera really is the best on the market is the plus point.

Some negative points without mentioning the price for a big one.

Appears to be some screen bleed which they also appear to be aware off. When people where taken to a room to try out VR the room was kept dark but not very dark, those who tried the white devices noticed that you could see part of the white so to speak in the VR which distracted your attention and also more prominently noted the screen bleed at the edges, the moved into a darker corner and the bleed was more visible. Apparently the crowd that had been in for the first demo they had the room almost completely blacked out and it seemed they found out about the bleed so they attempted to brighten the room up to make it less visible to them. They also said because of the slight issue with the VR not to buy a light coloured device and go for the darker colours.

More glass to break if you drop (glass back)

Pro's.

Better display (ignoring the bleed) but really more to do with the smaller size in comparison to the 6P.

Slighter smaller than the 6P and nicer to hold and operate in one hand.

Flat back no raised camera bump like the 6P.

Water resistant

Longer battery life (even though same battery better control over hardware and software - this could be debated still after we see what 7.1 might change in the 6P battery life)

Smart storage - Unlim Google photo's at full res not the usual cut back res.

Personally do I feel this would make me change from a 6P to this - not at that price point. Coming from a different device again I'd wait to see what happens that price.

I've left software changes out of this as the 6P will be getting 7.1 by the end of the month so far they have said the pixel launcher is only on the pixel devices but dare say someone will figure that one out for the older Nexus devices.

Edit: Forgot to add never read anyone yet remarking about any difference in sound. I adore the two front facing speakers on the 6P about the best sound I've heard from any mobile device. The Pixel only has one speaker and yet to read or watch anyone demo'ing or remarking about differences I would only presume they would be no where near as good the 6P.

For those talking about screen bleed the Pixels are OLED so there isn't a backlight to bleed through !!

Pixel launcher is already been released as an apk it works the same was as google now launcher I installed it along with the new wallpaper features on a Moto G4 im sure both will work on the Nexus phones if anyone wants it.

Reading what I wrote last night I didn't, well write it one bit properly. Not screen bleed (doooaahhh) light bleed with the VR as in it didn't seem to fit the device snug enough causing external light to come into the VR experience slightly.

Does help if I read the latest article correctly in all honesty passed them off. The first version required root access which is why I started ignoring all the website features about this. Seems if I actually read the new ones would see it was now a simple install of 2 apk's. Many thanks for making me actually read the newer articles lol.

Exactly, light bleed isn't possible on an OLED screen.

Getting back to the 6P, for under £400, your choices are this, the OP3, LG G5 and probably a second hand S7. If it wasn't so huge I would have gone for this.

The price decrease might be on it's way. Amazon US have just dipped from $499 to $399 on the 32gb and $549.99 down to $489.90 for the 64gb.

As I said in my first post. At this price not really a deal has been at this price point for 4-6 months. Everyone thought they might dip in price once the pixel range was released and today's dip on Amazon US is the first dip that has been seen since. This more than likely signifies the start of some further reductions normally Amazon US show the reduction first then it comes across to our side of the water eventually. I bought my own just less than a year ago and paid £20-£30 more than this deal but with a £50 Google Play voucher as well.

You didnt a answer my question. where else can you buy the phone in the uk?

Yeah it seems like Google Store UK or Amazon are ever going to get this phone back. I reckon its pretty much dead as in Google trying to sell any.
#22
looking on amazon is there a difference between this one and

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Huawei-Nexus-6P-64GB-Black/dp/B0171WW4YE/ref=dp_ob_title_ce

as it says on amazon that the one in my link is a newer model?

Please don't listen to these "experts". The Pixel is worth it just for the Google assistant, not to mention the other things. They need to realise that cheap Nexus is dead.

lol it isnt worth. also Google assistant is coming to Nexus 6p.

The price will go lower once the Pixel phones release in a week or so.

Lots of people begrudge Google selling their phone for a high price. Just don't buy it if if bothers you that much. They're trying to make up for cheapening the Nexus brand with the Nexus 4 and 5 and make people think that 'pure Google' = premium again. I don't think they will make a lot of money from the venture but at the same time I don't think they will drop the price at all, since it would completely defeat the purpose of the venture if they did (as well as peeing off early adopters). The easiest thing to do - if you don't want to spend the money on a Pixel - is buy a second-hand Nexus. Google have stopped making Nexus devices now - the Pixel is a new product with its own new price bracket that befits the Pixel brand as a whole (they've always been expensive and niche).
