Good deal, I like mine!

Just ordered a 32gb one for £145.... (well ordered 2 which made it £130!!) Same Ebay store...
#5
Is anyone expecting the nexus 7 price to go below £100 once the new one comes out?
#6
Unlikely drop to under 100...

Prob 120-130 for a brand new 16gb before xmas
#7
The one prob due autumn ie sept. Oct time is likely to just replace the old ones and price will probably be 200 quid possible more
#8
Already great value btw compared to ipad mini at 280!!

Argos refurbished are known to be customer returns. Might show signs of use. If you want to save 30-40 quid go for it. Defo recommend a 16gb for that price. I have an 8gb since launch and its Fab. Can only get one big game ie Gta or real racing on as 2gb games. Only 5.5gb after operation system. 16gb will only be 12.5gb useable storage

Manufacturer Refurbished.
Sent back to manufacturer and they check it all out and usually change out parts to make it look like new with all that cellophane wrapped around the screens, so this shouldn't put you off really.

Unless anyone can prove me wrong..

Are you two entering this year's most irrelevant comment of the year award ?

A nexus 7 isn't the same as an iPad Mini. Different ecosystem, different apps, different size, different materials, hence a different price.

And an xbox One ? You could have written that comment on any thread on the website. It may have been relevant on a PS4 deal, at a push.

Cheers op, just bought 2 for the family :)

Could anyone confirm if these have gps and bluetooth.

Thanks

Great price for a great product.

I managed to get the 32gb for £129.99 from Argos a while back.

Only cons are the low brightness and the low volume. (Any fixes?)

Yes and yes
Have a look here

When these came out (and I got mine) there was a big issue with the screen lifting from the case when it flexed. A lot of the units were affected, I had to get mine replaced via Google and it was a nightmare (google "nexus 7 screen lift"). I wonder whether these returns might have this issue and how easy it will be to get them repaired?

Nexus 7-2 is coming in June - might be worth holding off, this will get flogged off at clearance prices once the new model is released.

Only rooting and using custom ROMS will fix that issue I think. The low volume seems to be an issue on anything using stock Android. I had the same complaint with a Nexus 4.

Really really want one but only to control my onkyo surround sound with and to keep my 1 and 4 year olds off my ipad. Are they glitchy like apps crash quite a lot? Do they actually break really easily like people are saying all over the internet or are these people treating it badly.

Nexus 8 coming out soon.

Bought two 32GB the other week from argos refurbished, both had small marks on the screen, and had to sent one of them back as battery was faulty, i.e., kept turning on and off and displaying incorrect charge status.

I had this very thought, but the fact is Google haven't announced anything and it may actually not come out for a few months... bit the bullet for £130....whats the worst that can happen? (obviously they could announce is tomorrow for £100...but apart from that!)

Good to know, can you return them to the retail store?

I have a couple of iPads at home and the Nexus 7, love my little Nexus 7 when it's not off for repair :| Around 2 weeks ago it was collected by DPD on behalf of Asus, and still not even an acknowledgment that they have received it. Don't let the battery die is my best advice. Things break, its the back-up you should also take into consideration, although in saying that my iPads have never gave a minutes trouble.

Mine got stuck on the X boot screen, I done various resets and got it working for a day or two and then the same fault came into it.

Just printed off collect+ labels to return 2 32Gb Nexus 7's to them. One will not charge past 0% and the other has a very temperamental touch screen digitizer and constantly freezes.
