(Yes, I know that's not necessary now that xboxes play divx, but they didn't used to! :P )Voted hot.

Theoretically it should work - connect the "data" plug to your DVD player and "additional power" plug to this (via a USB extension cable?) - but I'd steer clear due to the comments on weak power output.

Better to get something like this, about the same price if you're willing to wait for delivery from Hong Kong:

The output is a bit weak and it seems very similar to their other model which gets less than favourable reviews...

True - it won't charge my MP3 player, wife's iPod or PS3 game pad. It will charge my works PDA though.

I don't understand why this won't charge all devices. It can supply 2x 500ma. 500ma is the maximum output allowed as required by the USB spec :?

Be annoyed if this doesn't charge my Zune

Appears I bought the other one too lol (it's still in the post)

Should have good grounds for full reimbursement if it doesn't work anyway as the description says works with all devices. Not to spec, not fit for purpose etc. Saying that I never returned the faulty £5 xbox 360 vga lead from Play as it was just too much hassle..

Never seen these before but what a great idea... Wish I'd have thought of it!!!

A bit disappointing if they don't do the job so well, but I'll wait to hear more from buyers before I dive in myself!

Is it possible to get these with more that two USB sockets on it?

Would be handy to have one with 4 or 5 on them when charging phone/ipod/sat nav etc

Same here, looks and feels like it was built by dead fish and pretty much fails to charge anything.

'eBay' is not a brand and as far as i'm aware cannot be used to be compared against deals here (along with Amazon Marketplace sellers)

To charge multiple outputs they ones posted above might be better suited (the 2000ma one) I can't see how they conform with spec but technically you should be able to supply up to 4 devices with (almost) 500ma through a basic hub.
Probably better chance in success with multiple plugs though
