Play.com have the "Nexxus Bluemicro Pro V2.0 Bluetooth Dongle" back for just £5.99 on their website. Delivery is free. QuidCo is 4%, if you wish to take it.

This was previously listed on HUKD at £6.99 and hit votes of 156 before going out of stock.

At 1.9cm this is arguably the smallest Bluetooth dongle in the world today. Despite its diminuitive size, Bluemicro PRO offers the same super-fast transfer speeds and enhanced connectively as other standard-sized V2.0 Bluetooth adaptors, without the disadvantage of 'bulky' adaptors which often get left at home! Bluemicro PRO's ultra low-profile (only protrudes by 7mm) means that once it's plugged in, it can be left in, making it the ideal solution for those who need Bluetooth connectivity on the move.

D'oh just about to order one until these comments came up :-D

Which is the best one as i plan to get a logitech bluetooth keyboard for my HTPC. I don't plan to use BlueSoleil as it hangs a lot.

I bought a Deal Extreme dongle (though not the mini one linked to above) ...it sucked. Massive install probs, no Vista drivers...& no support. You're on your own with a dongle on unknown parentage. For the sake of £3, I'd go with the Play, com dongle.

Yeah, I've never heard of any problems with the Nexxus one... they seem to be pretty good at Bluetooth.

Well I got one of these yesterday http://www.aria.co.uk/Products/Peripherals/Bluetooth+Devices/Veho+VB-5881+Super+micro+bluetooth+USB+dongle+?productId=33067 works fine with Vista, however I've spent hours trying to connect it to my Aspire One Linux (with no luck). So have ordered this one as well, someone in the play reviews says works straight out of the box with Linux.

I just recieved the above dealextreme one today to replace the big microsoft one I have. Its great, just plugged it in and drivers installed auto from vista and my mouse was working within a minute. Was about £2.30 inc delivery so a bargain, it said vista compatible on the packaging too:thumbsup:

It will most likely just be the old version of the software that is the problem, not the dongle itself

The Dealextreme one has been posted loads of times and has always been cheaper.

Odds on it might get there quicker too, as Play.com can be very hit & miss when it comes to delivery time, and I have had stuff from Dealextreme in Hong Kong come back sooner!

my dealextreme one came with bluesoleil software, which didnt work - dodgy disk. I found a working free version online, but its such a pain!!!

I use xp and really just want one which is plug and play, but i think this bluesoleil rubbish has destroyed my standard windows bluetooth stack!!!

I have one of the tiny Dealextreme ones and it's perfect for very little money, but does take a while to arrive

I think you will find it is the Windows bluetooth that is rubbish, for one, it doesn't support much functionality, nor does it work with all dongles! The Vista one is a LOT better than the XP one, but the 3rd party options are still far more use.

Both Widdcomm and Bluesoleil are a Universe ahead in terms of functionality and ease of use! I personally prefer Bluesoleil, and the newer versions are particular improvements

Personally I cant stand that Bluesoleil software, but the bluetooth dongle listed above is great. Mine stays in the computer all the time now, & you hardly notice it's there.

voted hot.

I bought a DealExtreme bluetooth dongle about a month or two back. Couldn't get it to install properly (I think the drivers disk that came with it was possibly dodgy/fake?) -- and then while trying to uninstall the software/driver my whole Windows XP system c*cked up ... had to reinstall Windows. For the sake of £2 more I would advise getting the Play.com ... or maybe I was just unlucky
