hi this is my first post be nice please

i was looking for new Straightener as my GHD broke down on me wish i could fix it lol.

anyway did some research to find cheaper alternative and came across this Straightener apparently an independent research was carried out and this straightener was preferred over GHD (this cliam is on the box so must be ture otherwise GHD would sue the lol) so i thought wow at the review but booo to the price then saw Amazon selling so cheap had to buy one. cost quiet a lot in other stores

Tesco at £39.98
boots £81.69
very.co.uk £79
Nicky Clarke site £79.99

Do not use on your pubic hair.

I REPEAT DO NOT USE ON YOUR PUBIC HAIR.

I will never be the man I once was.

Off topic a bit but depending on the age (Maybe it does not matter) of the GHD's if you send them back direct to ghd they usually fix them for free and send them back recorded delivery. My missus did it with some and because they couldn't fix them and were discontinued they sent the newsest ones at the time for free.

I sent my sisters away to GHD and as I could not prove they were under two years old they never fixed them and wanted money to send them back.

I ended up buying her a pair off GHD for £60.

Really bad customer service tbh. I bought them from the funky group and they could not find my order on their system.

ordered thanks, mind you I had to send GHDs back to Amazon a couple of months ago as they didn't work (tried them once!) ...... hoping these are better! Paid £89 for the GHDs (in a special edition pack)

BTW these Nicky Clarke straighteners are £36 in Boots (half price at present)

There are many 'as good as GHDs' kicking about and they are generally pretty rubbish!!

These are good but I prefer my Babyliss out of the two.

I paid £8.18 for mine from Tesco 6 months ago when they were getting rid of old electrical items!

GHD straighteners are pretty simple to fix, lots of tutorials online, anyone who can use a soldering iron can do it.

These state that they are 'worldwide voltage' - Does anyone who has these know for sure whether they heat up as good whilst in USA?
I love my babyliss ones, and even though they state worldwide, they definitely don't heat up as well as in the UK?

I have had a nicky clarke hair straightner before and they were good but my friend had the reminginton with heat increase upto 220° is better. I currently have a ghd for over 5 years, its expensive but the best on the market for any type of hair :-)

I had the ghd IV. The broad iron ones as I have thick, curly long hair. People think I have straight hair, once you get a ghd, you never go back to any other hair straightners. I gave my nicky clark to my sister. Its good & economical.
