+ £3.99 pp = £18.98 but still a pretty good price.

Oops! I must learn to read properly :) didn't notice the collect instore bit!

Good bit of kit, especially because it is cordless.
#4
any reviews on the cutting power of this one? cordless tends to be a bit weak
#5
5% egg as well if you have one?

Dammit, I'm looking for nosehair trimmers, it's like the Bolivian rainforest up there, I keep getting letters from the BBC wanting to send David Attenborough and a film crew on a scouting expedition.

£1.99 postage at Dixons!

As someone who has shaved his head for over 20 years I can strongly recommend that you DONT but Nicky Clarke clippers.Extremely cheap and flimsy.Branded ****.
#9
who do we buy then?
#10
Agree with birly, been shaving my hair for the past 10 years, i bought these exact ones quite some time ago, dont think i paid much for them back then either, there not much good, i ended up going back to a cheap pair of sheers that i bought from argos which were much better

Also recently bought some ben sherman sheers from mandmdirecet which were about the same price, much better

Voted cold. I did a quick search at Argos and Amazon and was able to find hair clippers at half price. The reviews on Amazon for various clippers suggest there are some poor models around. Based on reviews above, this set appears to be another poor model. Shame, as I am interested in purchasing a pair

i've been doing my hair with a clipper for about 6 years and the best one i tried is Remington Titanium HC600

i got it for 35pounds from a remingtnon outlet store at manchester but its available for about 20shipped from amazon sellers (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Remington-HC600-Cordless-Hair-Clipper/dp/B000758DGQ)

at 35 they were a great price, they cut well and they are shower proof. actually i am considering buying another one to take to my home in cyprus too

Can anyone recommend a good brand? What about wahl or remington?
#14
Bad angel; love the name drop about your home in Cyprus LOL. I might buy a set for my apartment in the Algarve!
#15
btw if you want a smaller trimmer, i also used Remington BHT2000 Body Hair Trimmer, which is also washable. i used this to cut my hair for a year or so before i got the HC600 and it did not dissappoint. since then it's been demoted (or promoted - depends on how you see it ;) ) to work on other regions of my body.

well i actually come from cyprus, i still go back for couple of months each year so i am sick and tired of taking the clippers back and forth.. especially with the minute luggage weight allowance

BadAngel I read through the reviews for your recommended clippers. However, there is one review in there which said that someone had bought the same clippers in the past and when they purchased a second set it wasn't up to the same standard. Hope this doesn't happen to you. Have a quick read
#18
well i guess manufacturing faults are possible to occur with all products, i've yet to experience a sub-standard quality remington so i'll put that review down to a defective product

you have to get the "High Precision" HC600 version for shower-proof performance, the regular HC600 isnt showerproof

I own these clippers and are the poorest ones Ive had, the battery power diminished and now lucky to get one shave out of them per charge!

Can't you just run an extension lead into the shower to keep the power on? :whistling:

No it has a separate base charging unit, the clippers are cordless

Very mixed reviews. Think I'll give it a miss.

my son & OH use Nicky Clarke electric, they have been fine for a couple of years now, did have FCUK which were not as good apparently.

I've had a set of Nicky Clarke Rechargeable full size clippers for around 3 years now and have had no problems with them at all.

I shave my head at least once a week and have never had a nick or cut from them, they do however have ceramic blades which I wonder if this makes a difference, they charge just as good as they did when I first got them and work just as well.

I have reserved a set of these near me, i'll give them a go and see what they are like, they do seem slightly smaller than the ones I have now though.

Hope this helps someone.:)

I had one of these which I used to shave..

Not a close shave, but left a bit of stubble which I wanted..

Not reccommended though mine stopped working after about 4 months :-(
#27
I've had three of these.. first set broke after being dropped multiple times, 2nd set lost, 3rd set still going strong. If you are follicly challenged like me these are great. I guess if you have hair like a brillo pad they may not work so well. I think I've had 2 units from Currys, always £14.99, when you consider that this is the cost of 2 or less trips to the barbers they are a bargain.

Has anyone tried Remington High Precision PG400 7in1 Grooming Kit

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B000T1MRFG/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me=&seller=

£22.95 incl delivey

we have this, nice that its cordless but it isnt powerfulllike some of the corded clippers & we find it works better when plugged in.Also my son has quite thick hair & i have to go very slowly or it gets stuck in his hair, tends to clog very easily, wouldnt recommend it

Hi,
Where can I obtain a charger for a Nicky Clarke Xtreme hair trimmer in Ireland, preferably Limerick please. Thankyou.
