sorry if deal is repost couldn't see it

I had this - but the switch on the clippers packed in after it have been used only three or four times - so I opened it and bypassed the switch - so it was on whenever it was plugged in. (As I wanted to use them that night - and it was faster than returning them).

About six months later the clippers needed adjusted outwith the range they could be adjusted to to make them work. Again then needed opened and mucked about with (they work with an electromagnet that with the reversing polarity of AC causes a heavily spring to make the moving part you see at the top go back and forth - they are not motorised as they sound like they would be. All work like this - and not just this make).

I replaced these with a Babyliss 7930BU i-Clip Automatic, which is rechargeable, and has a button that moves the head to different hair lengths without needing to change blades (other than for hair or beard lengths - but my hair is short so the beard length one is on all the time).

ALthough I cannot fault this one I think the Philips QT4045 may be potentially a better bet - as it has a built in vacuum so there is no hair to clear up afterwards, and is also rechargeable and self adjusting for length with out swapping blades.

That's not cheaper because their deal doesn't include delivery. It makes mine a repost though oops.

We're still on our original Wahl set bought from a Littlewoods catalogue when my boys were young (4 and 7 years old) because they wanted a David Beckham cut and used regularly by boys and oh since, boys are now 26 and 23. Not bad going! That said any clippers have got to be a must, especially at this price, to save on extortionate hair dressers fees so hot from me.

Not a bad price, bought exact same set from TJ Hughes last year for 15 quid. The case is pretty tough as it was holding one side of our bed up for 6 months! :)

I also bought this from John Lewis when it was £9.99 inc. free delivery.

Works perfectly every time.

Might sound like a stupid question but... is this wireless/cordless?
#21
Does anyone know of a make of clippers that can be used safely without the clip on combs? I want to get a real short crew cut, almost a shave, BUT I don't want to gouge my scalp like most seem to?
