Clever toy, limited need I suspect.
#3
Ideal for those Hilton moments.
#4
There's too many 'wrong' applications for this but I'll vote hot !!
#5
I have, like most people, no reason to own one of these but, like lots of people, I really would like one. If they hit £50, which they one day might, I will buy. Hot though.
#6
They had a similar one to this in clas ohlson Manchester store on clearance for £65 Down from £130 but only had a couple left, doubt they will have them now though. Reminds me of the ending of the silence of the lambs where he chases her around in the dark room :S
#7
ideal for dogging so im told

I think these are just a toy really for this price. You may want to pre order the call of duty veteran pack with other bits and bobs in and sell the game and the book etc and keep the night vision goggles and it would work out cheaper. The package is £129.99, sell the steel book game say £45, sell the artwork say £10 and bobs your nephew, night vision goggles for around £75 or less. Just a thought, however if you want these right now go for it.

Nice find op well done.

Total waste of money.
#23
expensive toy for playing "soldiers" in the back garden, lol
:whistling:
#24
For extra £20ish you can get the COD MW2 Prestige edition with proper night vision goggles for both eyes. lol. It was back in stock yesterday - havent checked today. If you dont want the game sell it for £60 (hardened edition) and get full night vision goggles for £60.

Here you are m8 :)

Hopefully the top 2 listed are still the prestige edition :)

The Call Of Duty goggles are hardly going to be any better quality either and are certainly not 'proper' night vision goggles. If you want real ones you have to pay £££££'s.
#28
haha very good

Very honest statement:-D

My quest to replace Josh Gates continues....now all i need a FLIR thermal imager lol
#31
These are probably generation 1...and unlikely to have rail/ring attachments

And the ones that come with Call Of Duty are probably even worse. If you're spending less than £100 or less on night vision you're wasting your money, the proper stuff of decent quality will cost you a lot more than that.
#32
The call of duty ones only appear to have a 15 metre range which is terrible really.
This ALDI one should have up to around 10 times that range (100-150m), though saying that, it doesn't actually say on the ALDI website.

Wise mas he not only say, "Cheap 'fings no good, good 'fings no cheap", he also say, "except for fashion nonsense", in addition to saying that, "When man sell Roller, he not say, 'Car with 4 wheels' ". Wise man also not buy from Aldi unless Aldi tell his-story of goods. Wise man no buy "Car with 4 wheels". Man want everything free buy all from Aldi. "Free" man always broke and that was how wise man won Ohlimpicks. Wise man laugh all ways to bank.

You think wrong then

as this IS a very capaable unit up to around 100ft thats why if you didt buy one today its likely you will have lost out trust me they will all sell out purchased by people that know a good unit this sells for just under £200 when it has its other badge stuck on

How about telling us what the 'other brand' is then and giving s a little bit more info instead of smugly saying others are wrong and the thing is great.

The one here http://www.outdoorgb.com/p/Yukon_Patrol_D_3x42_Night_Vision_Monocular_Gen_1/ seems to have a similar spec to the aldi one. As you can see, it is quite a lot more money - and much better spec than the toy one you get from other posts in this thread.

I was going to say, it's only monocular and 1st generation.

Can get hold of 3rd generation AN/PVS-7 for £700-900.
