I've just been in JJB Sport in Liverpool and they are selling Nike Pro Vent tops for £5 as part of their 'Credit Crunch Sale'.

They had a load in all different sizes and colours in a combination of vest, long sleeve and short sleeve. They were all £5 which is a total steal... I usually have to pay a minimum of £12 for a long sleeve.

Product Features

* Body fitting performance base layer
* Dri-Fit fabric: helps keep you comfortable and dry by moving perspiration from your skin to the outside for rapid evaporation
* 74% polyester / 14% nylon / 12% spandex
* Seamless with a lightweight tubular construction
* Flat stitching for reduced friction
* Breathable mesh panels

Yeah that is the one... They are pretty tight, I usually wear them under another top for training etc but I find they work very well!

You CANNOT catch a cold by being cold.

A Common cold is a virus thats highly contagious, a viral infectious disease of the upper respiratory system.

Actually.... when you are cold your immune system becomes slightly weaker than normal so you are more prone to catching the cold virus. Moreover, when you are cold, you tend to spend more time indoors and this too increases the chance of catching the virus. :whistling:

The common cold is a virus! You don't catch them because you're cold.

No, there is some evidence that cold feet make you more likely to catch it, not the body.

What evidence would that be? Please enlighten me as I am a medical student and have never herd of this before.
#29
Enlighten me to. Everything Ive learnt so far as a biochemist doesnt suggest cold feet increases the chance of getting a cold.

I'd like to wear these shirt jumper to my face. Is this good? Can I become ill if worn before 11am?

These tops are designed to take sweat away from your skin as you exercise.

I would suggest a better top for a goal keeper who does more standing about is a merino style base layer.

If you are rich - buy one of each and put it to the test (the merino ones are expensive in comparison).
#33
You say..........herd?
#34
Did anyone get one?

Had a look, and couldn't find one in the store in Liverpool.

something like the addidas climawarm base layers would be better
these nike ones are cool when your standing around
i wear them for night runs etc abd when you stop its cold
the climawarm is better for when your standing around

Nike to two kinds of tops like these, the ones in this post do cool you down but the other one they do is more of a thermal although they look very similar to these (I know because I bought one by mistake)!

I use the 'Under Armour' long sleeve mock for playing football in when it's freezing. These are not the cheapest but are absolutely top notch.

none for sale at this price in bmth, all still around £20-30 with £5 knocked off.. guessing its dependant on stock levels per store/managment discression etc and not regional
