Everytime i post a sports related product it gets voted freezing cold?? Maybe next time I should post Red dead redemption or Modern warfare 2 for £14.99 for the ps3 or 360, and i bet those will get voted blazing hot! :w00t:

Mate, it looks like a good deal. I think there were two votes (one cold and one hot - the hot was from me). I think the timing of your deal doesn't help given its 1.30am but give it time it will get hot - don't me so impatient. I doubt anyone can find this cheaper.

Seriously tempted to buy this does anyone know if they are any good ?????

I ordered one to go with my nike+lunarglide running shoes. I'll give a review of it on here when it arrives and let everyone know if it's good or not:thumbsup:

Do you need a sensor in your shoe for this to work? Some guy on amazon was saying you do...

Yes this deal comes with a sensor!. If you own some nike + trainers they have a special slot below the insole where u slot the sensor in or alternatively you can buy a cheap velcro pouch that goes on your laces where u can put the sensor in if u dont want buy nike+ shoes so it works either way...:)

I have one bought from wiggle :D, They are great for the price and fairly accurate (will admit never really calibrated mine but it is close to what the mileage is)

Quite simple to use 1st you need a nike+ account. Basically just register You will need to install a program but that is self explantary once you use your computer to charge your device (does it all for you) Got mine set up in about 5 mins.

so how much are these usually and is this all you need to use?

Cool, ive had a look online and this price seems about average.. Thanks for letting me know it exists though :P The lunarglide shoes you posted and this might be something to go for if i can motivate myself to get outside.

If this price delivered is average where can you buy one within 5% of this price? I think this is quite a bit cheaper delivered than anywhere else - RRP is £39.99 I believe.

Hang on. Thats a 10% price difference to its next nearest competitor? If there was a TV on sale somewhere for £1,000 but everywhere else at £1,100 I would think that was a pretty hot deal?

'I guess every site/forum has them'? Mate, you are the one making statements that don't stand up i'm just showing everyone that when you said in that this was an average price you were wrong - which you were as you weren't able to get close to it.

Im really impressed by this product and it really does what nike says it does like recording your pace, distance, calories, and time of your runs. I plugged the usb dongle that unclips from the sportsband into my laptop after my run today and uploaded the data of my run and it shows me on nike's website that i have run a 3.24km run in a 17.45 minutes duration and i burned 270 cals.

Overall really good device to help your keep track of your runs! would buy again :)

I assume that this just measures the number of steps you take, as opposed to GPS based?

I have a question regarding the charging of the usb stick. I attached the usb part of the strap into my Mac, after downloading the software. It has been charging for over 3 hours, but the indicator is still not fully charged & when disconnected, the charge isn't full. Is this normal & does it take longer than 3 hours to charge initially, or could I have a faulty unit?

It does, but it was still doing it after 4 hours & when I looked at the display, it still displayed that it was not fully charged:roll:

I have a question.

I used the Sportband for the first time yesterday @ the gym. I ran for roughly 25 minutes on a treadmill, using various speeds. I then did a few weights & 20 mins on the bike & then walked home which took around 10 minutes. The whole session lasted around 1hr 20mins.

When I plugged in the USB part of the Sportband this morning, it said that I had run a 7km run & that I had burned over 800 calories. I must admit it didn't feel like I had put this much effort into my session:oops:

Can this be true, or do I need to calibrate it better?

How accurate is the calorie counter against a HRM? My girlfriend is after a replacement hrm for the calorie aspect but if this is close I'll get two and "race" against her.
