Ahhh, ok, you just need to thing to plug in the dock? I didn't think you could because the app is only available on the 3GS and Touch.

I've you've got an IPod touch or iPhone (or iPod nano plus a separate sensor), you can shove this into your trainer, and it'll tell you how far you've run and how fast. Here's better info

Good price for a marvelous bit of kit

I have used mine with my 2nd generation ipod touch for about a year, and its brilliant

You don't need to use the specific nike shoes either. You can google different ways of fitting it to standard trainers. I just use a simple bit of velcro to attach it to mine

These sound like a great idea but once the battery dies you have to throw it away and buy a new one...

The battery lasts for a ridiculously long time though. Mines lasted for over 1,800 kilometres. That was about five months for me, but then I run a crazy amount :D

Works with Iphone 3GS only as the 3Gs have the reciever built in!

I have one and works really well!, these are a good price!

Thanks!
#14
Ah, that'll be why it doesn't work with my 3G then! It's too big to run with anyway. I paid £22.99 for mine less than a week ago from eBay, silly me. :(

What a disgrace! How hard would it be have a watch battery that can be replaced? Typical Apple.

there is a process on youtube or somewhere where you can replace it but it looks a bit dodgy tbh

Brilliant, just ordered one to pair with my iPod Touch 2G...hoping this gives me motivaiton to run!
#23
its great at motivation, it tells you how fast you are running at and how far you have gone at the touch of a button and usb the itouch as soon as you get back and it will download it all to the nikeplus website and you get a graph and trophies and loads of stuff
#24
This has been a fantastic bit of kit for me. I hate running but have used it to motivate myself and since january I have run 150km. Its great as it tells you your average speed whilst running to help with pacing. The best bit is the online access to the nike website. It saves your data to your ipod attachment i think then you upload to nike+ website. Here your data is stored and can be used in a variety of ways. You can set goals and targets linked with distance or calories. You can compete against your friends if they have one. The best bit was when it was a global boys vs girls competition and the boys thrashed the girls! Sorry ladies! Can't praise this highly enough, made a real difference to my activity levels and fitness. You can polay your music whilst listening. Brilliant
#25
they did a 10k challange around the world last year uk had an actual 10k race on london but you could run whereever you were. Various race events around the world and you download your time and then find out where you came in the world.

These are fantastic!! I didn't know you could buy them without the transceiver (get both for £20 from the Nike store). The sensor's work with my 3G S without the tranceiver though so I'm gonna grab one of these. Heat added, cheers :)

Just want a phone that it will work with - damn my 3G...
#34
If you have the original Iphone ( or 3gs) then don't waste your money on this - get the APP Runkeeper. It's awesome, uses GPS to accurately track your run with maps etc
#35
I bought a new pair of trainers recently and it had the nike + business, I thought the sensor would be included. You have to go and buy it seperately though do you?
#36
Ordered! Thanks. Now I need to get that £3 pouch and find a cheap armband.

Well done for an unfounded comment. They last for years.

I'm on the verge of buying an ipod... and this gadget looks impressive.
Tied between the 4thGen Nano 16GB and 2nd Gen Touch 8GB.

Is the touch too heavy to run with?

I'm thinking that although it,s 8GB less it's no hassle to just use itunes to select/deselect tracks if I want to move them on and off the pc onto the ipod.

Fancied a touch due to the Apps/internet.
#39
I have the Ipod Touch 2nd Gen.
On the description, it says "If you have an iPod touch (2nd generation), all you need to track your workouts is this wireless sensor. "
Can anyone confirm that I don't need a receiver?
