Nikita - Season 1 Blu-ray £9.95 @ Zavvi
In this sexy and suspenseful series from executive producer McG, and featuring international action star Maggie Q in the title role, Nikita has gone rogue. Division is an ultra-secret government agency whose operatives are recruited young people with severed ties to family, friends and society. Trained to be invisible assassins, no one ever leaves Division - except the charming and deadly Nikita, who has managed to escape, making it her mission to undermine the now-corrupt organization. A force to be reckoned with, the rogue Nikita taunts Division, staying on their radar, but always one step ahead. Yet as determined as Nikita is to bring down her former agency, there are those just as determined to stop her, including Division's newest recruit Alex, a beautiful young woman who seems destined to replace Nikita as their next top operative.

You never know, they might unveil it closer to the release of the DVD. Blu-ray looks outstanding, that episode with the forest (can't remember the title) looked amazing with all the detail in the trees and the shadows. Just on the second episode of disc 3... I should make it for Season 2!
cracking season once it does pick up and well worth a tenner for brilliant picture quality and surround sound =)

La Femme Nikita was by Joel Surnow though (who went on to co-create 24).
This is by McG who has bought us Charlie's Angels Full Throtle, Terminator Salvation, The OC and Chuck (along with a lot of other garbage).
The original movie is the best though, Luc Besson is great.
I dare say it wouldn't make a lot of different without the tattoo. Over rated in the looks department definitely, probably as equally as I'm under rated in the looks department. That's the law of averages though. Ah if only I was average. Bit of self deprecation on a Sunday evening to balance things out :)
You are actually not that far off. Some similarities, even in terms of what happens to the heroine at the start of the season.
