This will work with FX (full frame sensor) and DX (APS-C crop sensor) Nikon DSLRs. It's probably more suited for FX as it gives a good choice of focal lengths between wide/landscape and slight telephoto/portrait in full frame. The ED glass should give excellent results and VR II is useful at the telephoto end, especially if you are taking portrait shots.

It looks like Amazon are price matching now!

So is it just the Canon users voting cold, or is there a better deal out there somewhere?

Blinding price! It's tempting but I'm looking at the 70-300 options for my next lens - anyone used the new AF-P model?

Good price and a good lens. I decided to get the 24-120 vf f4. Which offers great range and a good minimum aperature but it will set you back more than this deal.

Aren't the AF-P lenses limited to a few models only? Recently bought AF-P 18-55mm DX only to find that my camera requires AF-S lenses. :(

I am very seriously thinking of moving from Nikon to Canon, as I just can't find the lenses I want.
Voted hot as this is a good price for a good lens, but as a dx user, it's not for me.
(Also I don't use Currys)

Depends what you want it for.
Is it for advertising, where you need pristine images, or for sales like Autotrader, or just personal interest?
What do you mean by closeups? Do you want to get in close to the car badges or is it for full car images?
Also, is it for cars you can physically get close to, or will you be at a distance for something like racing cars?
And is it for full frame or crop sensor?

You can still use it on Nikon DX. It will be fully functional on all Nikon DX and FX models.

Perhaps they mean it's a less useful range for a crop sensor. 36mm is very tight for a "wide" end.
