  Don't get wow'd by the 14MP. There is no need with a sensor this size. Not saying its a bad camera but it wont be the most important thing.

  Good camera, and heat added. But be aware of all the 1* reviews on Amazon stating that the battery door broke off after a while.

  cold from me since it's ASDA direct! good price ONLY if you manage to get one. I have tried and failed for the second time with ASDA Direct. I see a deal pay for the item and i get a receipt saying collection within 3-4 days but never get a response back from ASDA for over 3 weeks.
  Then when you ask them they say sorry it's out of stock and refund you the money. This is the second time. none other retailers have done this to me..good for ASDA to ROLL our money while they have it for 3 weeks!!

  i don't have a problem with asda direct. i ordered the canon powershot A3300 that was posted onhttp://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/canon-powershot-a3300-compact-camera-16mp-blue-pink-red-silver-49-asda-direct-1208789?page=3 hukd approx 2wks ago & had an email to confirm my order straight away. the camera was delivered within a couple of days. brilliant service. this nikon camera looks like a hot deal to me. if i hadn't got the canon, i'd have gone for this. 8)

  AA batteries are what I always want in a camera, they are available anywhere in the world. unlike bespoke batteries.

  I'd be wary of assuming Nikon = great quality, I once picked up a reduced basic Nikon from Tesco that I ended up returning as picture quality was unacceptable (not faulty). Replaced it with a Canon (cheaper even at full price) that was far superior.
  
  Having said that, this is an amazing price, and this camera may well be better; I've found cheap Fuji cameras similarly hit & miss, and Canon ones the most consistently decent. Maybe someone can post re. how decent this camera is?

  I ordered a cheap Fuji not long ago...it was dire, which was a shame, as I had fallen into the trap of having brilliant ones of that brand in the past, and just assumed they were all fairly good standard.
  
  Not saying this isn't, and it obviously isn't a Fuji, but definitely worth a few minutes of looking up some reviews online.
  
  Also, no Image Stabilizer? Hmm.
