This is a well regarded entry level DSLR : ) Nice find
#2
fyi: dixons and amazon have it for £379, before £30 rebate.

I've been looking for the best deal on this camera and actually posted in 'deal requests' about 10 minutes ago lol.

I've found a deal on Pixmania but not keen to use them. they have it at the same price on argos, not sure if they are still offering the 10 quid voucher or not.

I didn't quite understand the quido vouchers.. if that's available that's another 10-15quid difference, which will be bring down another £35 from £359..
but if someone confirms though !!

the 5% code does state that it excludes all digital SLR's though so you can't use that as well.
#6
You will get the cashback through...Sometimes jessops have as much as 10% cashback on quidco.
#8
I may well go for it but will probably pay the extra £5 and go for the 18-55 nikkor VR lens kit. This is the standard and not the VR.
#9
I second the motion on the VR kit, I'd pay the extra £5 for the VR lens - if that is deffo the crack.

I'd also look at the Olympus E-520 with the twin kit lens pack its around £450 on Jessops with a Olympus E-520 body, 14-42mm lens and a 40-150mm lens. The body has image stabalisation built in and its a very well put together camera with live view and the like. The only thing is its not great for low light photography as its quite noisy at high iso settings. Still very good value kit.

Having said that I'm a 1000d man at the moment!

£379.99 with VR lens at amazon.

As stated above, the title is misleading and deal not as good as elsewhere so cold
#11
I note it is cheaper at amazon but it anyone wants it quick it may be worth going for the offer on the VR lens kit at £5 more as I've just noticed you also get a 80cm x 60cm canvas and camera cleaning kit free with that one. The canvas is £65 on jessops website so not a bad freebie.
#12
Topcashback offering possible 9% cashback which would make the final cost £334, which is better than anywhere else. Jessops also giving 6 months interest free credit.
#13
I like the bundle deal on the Jessops site for the camera, a 4gig card and camera bag: You pay £444 and in brackets (normally £438) :w00t::w00t:

I bought this yesterday having looked around everywhere to find the best price. I got 8% quidco which has already tracked at around £30 I think so with the VR lens £395 minus the £60 from quidco and cashback it makes it £335 which is a great price. Be careful if ordering elsewhere as you cannot claim the £30 back with european models

I've gone for this but I'm collecting in store as on quidco it states that you can still earn cashback on collect in store items which is good. Wish i'd noticed this morning as I would have picked it up today. Anyway I can still pick it up tomorrow morning so I'll have all day to play with it.

I like the look of the big canvas print that you get with it, I know its only a voucher but gives me time to take a really good pic of my daughter to go in her new nursery. So approx £335 and a free canvas thrown in for good measure.... bargain!!!!

The D3000 and a Dell Mini purchased today, best log off Hotukdeals for a while!!!!

Thats exactly what I did. They also gave me a good price on a memory card, although it was not as cheap as on line elsewhere but I am impatient and wanted to start using it yesterday. Don't forget to reserve your extras so you get quidco on those to. Oh and if it doesn't show it in stock for a few days at your local store order it anyway and give them a call. Mine was saying to collect on Friday but was ready on Wednesday:-D
