Nikon D3100 Digital SLR Camera (incl 18-55mm VR Lens Kit and Nikon Digital SLR System Bag) for £374.97 (after Nikon Cashback) and £364.00 after 3% Cashback from Quidco @ Tesco - HotUKDeals

Nikon D3100 Digital SLR Camera
18-55mm VR Lens Kit
Nikon CF-EU05 VAE22001 Digital SLR System Bag

Total Price Delivered: £434.97
Tesco Voucher (TDX-KYRA): £20.00
Nikon Cashback: £40.00
Total: 374.97

+ Quidco is 3% for Tesco Direct at the moment . My Quidco has tracked at £10.97, so TOTAL after QUIDCO: £364.00

I've been on the lookout for a good deal for the Nikon D3100 for the last couple on months, and this is the best price I've seen it for, and that's without even considering the free Nikon Digital SLR System Bag being thrown in by Tesco at the moment.

Absolute BARGAIN in my opinion after both cashbacks!

Remember that the £40 cashback comes in the form of a prepaid VISA card with £40 as the 'cashback', not cash or a cheque.

UPDATE:
It's been pointed out by a couple of people that Best Buy are offering 10% Cashback through Quidco which should work out as £335.34 for the Nikon D3100 (without the SLR bag) after all the cashbacks. If you're after just the camera and not the bag, this may be a better deal for you. I can't verify the Best Buy deal, or take credit for it - but wanted to make sure people know all the possible options!

Cheapest anywhere if quidco pays out, I've ordered.

Great spot, cheers! :p

I've just realised you can use voucher code TDX-KYRA to get an extra £20.00 off too! I rang up Tesco and cancelled my order, and then have re-ordered online using the code. It now works out at £333.47 after all the cashbacks!

EDIT: Quidco Cashback pricing was not correct, as only tracking at 3% not 10%. Works out as £364.00 after Quidco Cashback now.

Is there any way to get free delivery?
I don't seem to get the option of collect at store, even though I've done it before. Is it because it's over a certain value?

Oh damn. lol

Can't be asked with the hassle though, it's still a great price.

I think it's delivery only. I couldn't get a 'collect from store' option either. I suspect they get them shipped directly from the supplier.
#7
damn, really good deal, but away for holday two weeks, would order it if able to collect from store.

Try TCB. Pays 10.1% cashback and NO "membership" fee.

Good deal if correct. Did Quidco track at 10%?

I suspect that the '10% Photo' cash back refers to their printing service, not cameras.

Mine has only tracked at £10.97 initially.

If it stays at that I'll cancel and use the £20 off code I should have in the first place!

Been looking for this on deal since the Gadget Show voted it the best DSLR and waited and waited..... until last Tuesday. How typical is this of my luck!!
Hot deal (and can confirm if you are in 2 minds jump into this deal with both feet quickly - exce;;ent camera)
#12
Great deal if Quidco or TCB pays out. Been looking into getting this camera for quite a while now, but been waiting for it to come down in price, this deal may finally tempt me! Cheers OP!
#13
Anybody elses Quidco tracked? As I'm bored I'll ring up and cancel then re-order with the £20 off voucher if need be.
#14
Looks like an amazing deal!
Has anyone figured out what the Quidco actually is on it?

It seems like Daz20 is right and that the 10% only applies to their photo centre and not actual cameras.

I'm really struggling to find a reason to not buy this!
#15
How is this not hotter?!
Ordered. Thanks OP.

quidco is 3% mate not 10% you need to adjust your figures

that is mine in quidco, im not sure where they are getting the price of 328.92 though for the tracked amount, will message them later to ask why it has that price.
#19
Isn't that the price before VAT?
#20
Not sure as hornblowerracing quidco was 10.97 so thought it would be the same if it was pre vat price

Why Nikon couldn't be arsed sticking an external mic input into this camera is beyond me. It shoots full HD video yet you're stymied by the built-in mic. Shameful. Canon 550d or 600d all the way if you're even faintly interested in dSLR video.

great camera

Many thanks, been looking for a good deal on this camera, best I had seen so far was £419 at Dixons at Heathrow T5

I think you're right about the 3% Quidco tracking thing. Mine has tracked at £10.97, so I've updated the description accordingly. Final price now: £364.00 - which is still an excellent deal!

Many thanks, been looking for a good deal on this camera, best I had seen so far was £419 at Dixons at Heathrow T5

Best I have seen was £394 plus £40 cashback from Nikon on 30/04/2011. So £354 after cashback. Yeah this is best money can buy DSLR with HD Video.

Might be few pounds cheap with Best Buy, Quidco is doing 10% cashback with them

My Quidco says:

Purchase: 19 Jun 11
Retailer: Tesco
Amount: 365.93
Earnings: 10.97
Status: Tracked
Updated: 19 Jun 11

What's really odd though, is that I have two showing up on Quidco as I originally bought it before I realised about the extra £20 discount code, cancelled that order and then re-ordered it again with the code. Strangley, both have tracked at exactly the same amount - although I expect one of them to be cancelled, obviously.

You don't get the SLR bag with Best Buy though. I almost ordered from Best Buy this morning after I realised the 10% Quido - but then found the bag included from Tesco (and also though the Quidco was 10% from Tesco at that time too), which was why I ordered from them (and posted the deal here).

With the extra £20 off code, and the included bag, I think the 3% Quidco from here works out a better deal than the 10% from Best Buy, but without the bag - even after the extra £5.00 delivery charge (which would be free from Best Buy). If you're purely after the camera only though, Best Buy might be slightly cheaper in the end.

Stonking deal fro a cracking camera.

I'm more of a Canon fan myself but If you are in the market for a starter DSLR you won't find better.
#31
Should I do Quidco ot Topcash back then, please ??

Just had a look on Best Buy, the camera is 438.99 but you can use discount code ALLCAM5 to bring the price down to 417.04. If you then include the 10% cashback from quidco and the £40 from Nikon, this works out at £335.34.

You are right the bag makes this deal better, just ordered mine after cancelling my order with bestbuy :-)

I'm planning on getting this for the wife but not until Xmas.

Should I be looking at getting this or will the price continue to drop between now and then?
#35
Now the D3000 (no video) is up to £345!! This seems a better deal.

Irritating, but if you're serious about sound, wouldn't it be better to use a separate audio recorder?

I purchased this camera for £429 at Currys on the 28th may and was told there was £40 cashback.
When i got home and checked the site the offer was over. Nikon now have a new offer but ive just missed out on that as well LOL
On reading the thread I was gutted there for a second at the new low price but to be honest the fun Ive had with this camera in the last 3 weeks makes the fact that the Currys op scammed me good style pale into Just anger and I will never purchase from Currys again unless its a hot hot deal lol
This is a great camera
Im a novice at 47 years but im so enjoying this camera and the fantastic picture quality.
Dont delay in snapping up this great offer and enjoy. 10/10
