Wow, just wish I knew what to do with a machine like this, just know it'll stay in the suitcase and I'll end up using my camera phone :(

PC world. Price match minus 10% of the difference = £290.69 bought yesterday, still trying to figure out how to use it properly ..:)

Better to have a bridge camera than an DSLR on auto, especially as the lens is 18/55mm which is quite limited.

Better to have a DSLR than bridge as the sensor is much better. Not all DSLR cameras have a 18-55 on them. I hate auto but as per the posts above some are still learning and want to use immediately.

Good camera for the money. Very lightweight, as DSLRs go, and very well featured for a first camera, ideal if you want to travel. For that reason, it's best to go for a smallish zoom lens, say a 18-135mm.

Paid £347 for this camera from Amazon less than two weeks ago... bit annoying but it is an excellent piece of equipment.

    Hmmm.

Bridge camera = amazing zoom, pathetic low light ability, slow autofocus, poor quality.
SLR (with kit lens) = Moderate zoom, half decent low light, snappy autofocus, better quality.

That said, photographer makes more difference to a photo than any camera does.

Don't need a camera until 27th December, worth getting now or do we think it'll be cheaper after Xmas?

This deal is from Argos, and a few people notified amazon of the price and they pricematched it. personally I prefer to buy from amazon due to their customer service which is second to none. As soon as they updated the price this morning I clicked purchase.

technically this deal is a copy of this deal and this deal

    Well happy!

Went to Currys who price matched Argos and beat by 10% of the difference so it only cost me £290.69.

Might have plenty of time to play with it soon. I find out tomorrow if I'm made redundant from my job :(
