It's only 8 in stock, so better hurry up. If you are thinking about buying it - just go for it!

D50 has a much wider variety of lenses available as older non digi lens will fit aswell, not the case with the D40

Good deal though

Is this the one thats £340 in costco? Costco's aftersale is worth £100, so really its £240.
#12
What's "Costco's aftersale"?

I had to buy a Nikon D50 for our department at work recently, they know I like a bargain so I was given the company credit card but couldn't really find any notable changes in prices anywhere, most digicams come down in price but these don't seem to budge.

Very good deal on the D40 in this thread though.

How about the deals for D50 I posted a few posts above? I think they are pretty good for D50.
#15
Sorry Kermot, missed that post, yep good prices, I was trying to talk my work into having a Recon one as that's the only way I could get a good saving but they insisted on brand new.

Also a good deal on the D50 Twin Lens kit.

I can't help but wonder why there are so very many refurbished Nikon D50/70s for sale everywhere?
#19
I bought this camera for nearly £350 not long ago, and it was worth every penny.

Unless I'm missing something all the Jessops codes exclude digital SLRs.

Adding one to my basket and trying all the codes doesn't work :x

Why do you say that when the K100D has is not as good as the D40? The Pentax has better compatibility with legacy lenses and image stablisation while the Nikon does not. They both get Highly Recomended at DP Review but I would suggest that the K100D shades it.

Staggering price for a superb camera - this fella was winning awards at £450 never mind £288 !!

This camera will get you results on a par with a Canon 400D.

Superb deal -pity i've already paid for mine.......

Is it easy to get compatible lenses for this camera? Could someone point me in the direction of the best place to get lenses for it?
#27
Tecno has a few good lenses (don't forget 5% off code in the voucher section)

Have a look at http://www.camerapricebuster.co.uk/ - they have a wide range of lenses covered.

Costco's aftersale is if it goes wrong you take it back and they give you the money back no questions asked, you don't even need your receipt (except for computers which is 6 months money back after that they send the computer to the manufacturer). Recently I had a nearly 3 year old dyson vacuum stop working which I took back to costco with no receipt and they gave me the money back no questions asked. I buy most of my electrical goods from there now. To me this is total peace of mind although I guess there are a lot of people that will abuse this policy so how long it will last I don't know.

Their tyre fitting service on the other hand is not so good, I wouldn't let those monkeys go near my car again.

Nickygoat, try bounce10 for your jessops code. It should get you £10 off.
