I noticed that these Nikon cameras have been reduced whilst passing the store. Apprears online too. Currys have also matched the prices online and instore.

D40 with 18-55mm lens £299
D40X with 18-55mm lens £399

Seems prices are what were AFTER cashback offer recently - but without hassle of claiming cashback!

According the other thread DSLR's don't qualify for the 10%

but it might be worth trying to get a price match on it from dixons or someone else similar.

I have been looking at these over the past couple of weeks, the price in store at Jessops was £409 for a D40X and £405 on line. Have there been other price drops recently to that amount, think the cash back was £60? Excellent service & advice from my local jessops store, which I fed back to them. If you have an opportunity, I would recommend getting it from a Dixons Tax free store, we plan to get ours there for around £345, but only suitable if you are travelling via airport or tunnel.

Fairy tooth, which USA stores are they in at those prices? Husband is going at end of the month... I checked a couple of weeks ago, but prices were very comparible to tax free Dixons in Walmart & Target, but very interested in your prices!

I have seen D40/18-55 in Currys for £299 too.

I wouldn't be surprised if Nikon follow suit with cashback soon ala Canon...

For the USA, try Ritz camera.

also Nikon have already done a cashback which has just ended
