I found 2 stores with stock in, so hot from me

Market Jew street Penzance have one.I have a Sony A200,but have to admit this is a cracking deal.
#7
Some in HULL.
#8
Brent Cross, Slough and Hemel Hempsted all have stock. Very nice camera for the money and having the VR lens is an added bonus, for the money I don't think you'll do much better.

I noticed this 'In Stock' on the Dixons website until about 12.30pm today. I hesitated a bit as I was also considering the Canon 450D and in that time it went out of stock. Managed to reserve it however via the Currys website at my local Currys (Friern Barnet). Hot deal! My colleague also reserved it a his nearby Comet (Hounslow).
Selling out fast as It seems to be out of stock in most Currys now.

May come back in stock a Dixons in the future, they also have discount code 4PHOTO which gives 4% extra. Didn't get oppurtunity to try it so may or may not work.

I don't think it is fair to vote cold just because there are none near you!!

None near me but i'm voting hot as there are some around so some people will get a bargain.

Great price. Some stock near me too.

No stock near me either but a good friend is collecting it for me. Surely its still a good deal even if there is no stock where you are

I have an older D70. Would it be worth upgrading to this and would this work with lenses that require the auto focus within the camera (not sure if I have said that right.)
#14
BTW do you have to use an 'extreme' SD card or will a normal 4GB SDHC card work?
#15
london area?
#16
managed to reserve one too, but unsure if I will manage to afford it this week now :(
#17
u can use SHDC card

The D60 needs the motor in the lens to autofocus, but you could manual focus. You need Nikon AF-S lenses or HSM/USM Sigma etc for autofocus.

I reserved the last one in a store. They then phoned me to say that they accidently sold it. They are now trying to get another in from another store. I reckon one of the staff took it.

Cracking deal, voted hot. There are none available near me unfortunately, but that doesn't make this cold.
#21

Would be scorching as I am looking for a DSLR but not happy if I have to travel 300 miles to get one!

They're giving out £10 off a spend over £100 when you 'spend anything' at the moment (I didn't see any small print ... but there was a big banner outside the store stating this).

Ah I see. I read it wrong. I thought you got another tenner off. Cheers. By the way I rang customer service about the branch selling it after I reserved and apparantly they are obliged to honour it so hopefully should get one eventually. Just kick up a stink if this has happenned to anyone else.

I printed off a copy of the reserve and collect T&Cs ... just in case. The sales assistant did spend a very long time out the back ... so I imagine he was checking too.

Anyway, the T&Cs on the website say:
All Reserve & Collect sales take place in our stores. Sales are therefore subject to our usual in-store Terms and Conditions and the Manager’s discretion. However, provided you bring your Reserve & Collect print out and/or reference number with you, our store will supply the goods at the online price which applied when you chose to Reserve & Collect. This may be cheaper than the usual instore price!

I'd post a link, but I don't think it'll work.

Hey, provided you treat it like a new born Baby when you test it out I'll take it off you if you don't like it!

Just picked mine up. Went through at £260 no problem after I gave the reservation code.

Is quite heavy compared to my little compact camera.
