This is similar to the D40 so it doesnt take anything but AFS lenses, but its 10.2 mp and best kit lens with it. Can pick up in store as well so no waiting.

Sometimes Jessops is ok for good deals.

£30 cashback with nikon on the D60

So total price:

£263.61

Camera companies are very good at giving the cashbank pretty quick considering. I once got it back within 4 weeks into bank account with nikon.

Worth paying the extra £20 for this over the D40, there is also currently no cashback on any nikon apart from d60 as far as I know.

Much better deal than on the now very aging D40, comparable in specification and cost to the Sony A200, however I still feel the A200 offers more bang for buck having AF built into the camera.

For those that are Nikon fanboys however, this DEFINITELY has to be worth the extra 20 quid for the better 10mp CCD Sensor (manufactured by Sony!)

Voted hot, but still feel the A200 with anti shake and AF in the main body of the camera offers better value.

There is also a £10 off voucher on the site here which would effectively make this deal £253.61 after the £30 cashback not to mention 5% Quidco.

Looks like a bargain to me! Only wish I could afford it :x

Provided you have a Paypal account you can get it for £290.49 and earn 2160 points from Boots.com at the moment. To get this price you need to pay by Paypal and enter the code TSAM47 at checkout.

You can still claim the £30 cash back from Nikon.

Dont think the £10 voucher applies to SLR Cameras

I get it to work at checkout the code is 10plus10 it says for DSLR's also says it ends 3/12/08 but its now 23 minutes past the 3rd and it still went in at checkout.

Still HUGELY tempting.

Can I ask why...?

Do you know of a place where I can get the D60 even cheaper than this as I really want one but i'd be REALLY pushing my budget on this deal.

See my earlier post for how to get better overall deal at Boots if you have a Paypal account.

boots seems good, but they dont seem to ever have much stock.

The bonus of going through jessops is you can take it back if its got a dirty lens and insist they clean it! Although I think its self cleaning at least the d60, its a bit of a problem in the dslr market, dust on the mirror. Happened to me on 2 new cameras, on one of them it wouldnt come off.

Then again you could probably take it back to boots but whether they would clean it I dont know.

The 10PLUS10 code has expired now but if you add extra items to your order you can use codes XMAS10 or XMAS20 to save up to £10/£20 on those other items. For example, if you were to add the Sandisk 2GB Extreme III SD Memory Card to your basket at £24.46 and used XMAS20 (for orders over £300), they'd take the £20 off that memory card and it would only add another £4.46 to the total. That card is less than £10 at Amazon incidentally, but you get the idea. Plus there's still 3% quidco off the nett price and £30 Nikon cashback.

Got this deal, but the when it arrived realised it didn't have a VR lens and retails for £293 at jessops anyway. Kept it though as it works out with Topcashback, advantage points, paypal discount and cashback from Nikon to be about £240 in total.

You're better off paying the extra and going with the 18-55mm VR lens kit - it has better optical quality and reduces the chance of camera shake
