My first post so please be gentle if you don't find this upto your expectation.

Nikon D60 VR Lens Kit (AF-S 18-55mm VR) which I was looking to buy since past couple of weeks now has dropped to affordable price range on Tesco Direct. It is still £379 at all other major stores, atleast upto my last night find.

I know this camera was cheaper for a short time in last week of Feb, but that deal is over now.

Here we get bundle for £342.49 minus £13 (for using voucher XXR968) = £329 total. Delivery could be free if you are ready to pick this item up from stores, or use the sim card trick.

I believe we can still use Nikon £30 cashback offer which has been extended upto 31st March.

Don't forget 3% quidco.

Total cost of ownership could be:
Camera cost after voucher and free local store pickup = £329.49
Nikon cashback = -30 = £299.49
Possible quidco = -£8.74 = £290.75
Clubcard point too.

Don't confuse this with non VR lenses they are cheap but this is very good price IMO for the (very basic) VR lense.
Cheapest possible at the moment I can find.

Good price,

They also have the D40 with 18-55 non-VR lens for £246.29 and you get 246 points which is worth £9.84 on clubcard deals: http://direct.tesco.com/q/R.200-6338.aspx

Does the XXR968 voucher work on that?

Bought one of these from Jessops late last year, used my newborn baby girl as excuse to get it:)

Very easy to use and stunning images compared to my ixus 70 Canon.

some people prefer other brands, but as a first time dslr I don't think you can go far wrong

Should work. No harm in trying once, you can always decide not to pay if code doesn't bring price down.

This is a good price, some camera shops near me list this for £399.99 before cashback. A good price and worth getting.

The VR lens is much better quality than the non-VR standard lens as reported in tests (better optical quality + VR). It is worth paying the extra just for the lens.

Well worth the extra money for VR. Plus the D60 is a better camera than the D40 but still entry level.

back in stock

The £13 off voucher works with this too. Not sure if you can get the cashback because the Nikon site has some cashback terms and conditions. Not sure if Tesco applies, but worth a go.

Can someone clarify whether or not the cashback voucher is still available?!?! As far as I can see on the Nikon website the only cashback available is for the lenses...

Went into store and when the girl ordered it she said it was only silver colour, checked the store catalogue and the black colour in the catalogue was 399.99.
Although I didn't think they made a silver nikon d60 tbh
