***************Product details**************
Absolutely brimming with attractive features and promising great image quality with its evolved technology, this Nikon D7000 Digital SLR Camera with AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm ED VR Lens makes a fantastic investment for either the keen beginner or anyone looking to upgrade to a mid-range DSLR model.

This 16.2 mp camera uses Nikon's EXPEED 2 CPU to deliver images of fantastic clarity, whilst also providing responsive performance and extremely quick picture-processing. The EXPEED 2 boasts faster continuous frame rates for action photography than its predecessor, the D90, with lightning-quick power-up and shutter-lag times also on offer.

Beautiful to handle and sporting typical Nikon sturdiness in design, other attractive features in the Nikon D7000 Digital SLR Camera include 14-bit A/D conversion for smooth tonality in your photos, ISO sensitivity that can be extended right up to 25600, dual SD card slots with SDXC compatibility, and a lively 39-point AF system.

In addition to its attractive stills photography specification, the D7000 also brandishes Full HD video recording as an enticing tempter. You'll be able to capture wonderfully detailed 1920 x 1080 pixel movies, and have the potential for inputting an external microphone should you want to upgrade sound quality. There's also HDMI connectivity for direct video output to a High Definition TV!

The optic included in this kit is namely the AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm f/3.5-5.6G ED VR Zoom Lens, which has an equivalent 35mm focal length of 27-157.5mm once the 1.5x crop factor of the Nikon D7000 is taken into account. This is a great walkabout lens for a variety of subjects: from sweeping landscapes to portraits and mid-range details. Built-in VR image stabilisation gives you a 3-stop handheld shooting advantage, making this an extremely versatile lens in low-light situations.

Limitless in its scope for artistic expression and superb in its ability to record life just as you saw it, the Nikon D7000 Digital SLR Camera with AF-S DX Nikkor 18-105mm ED VR Lens will revolutionise your photography!

Anyone interested may want to call Dixons Tax Free to query their price, should they also be flying out anytime soon.

Doesn't matter if your flying within the EU, still the same price, only this time Dixons cover the discount not the VAT man :).

Also this presents an additional opportunity if you are VAT reg'd and can claim the purchase back. As you get the Dixons Tax Free price, plus can claim the VAT back. If you're travelling outside the EU, you can get the item delivered instead, as this means the price includes VAT and Dixons have been stung for the discount.

Irony is they are still pretty expensive for alot of stuff. But since they promise to be cheaper then the high street, when they do deals in their retail stores you sometimes find a stonking deal. Got some good deals in the past :O

not many people vat registered... (1) not many people like to shop on ebay, amazon etc...(2), cos you never know what you will get, stores like currys, comet, dixons, pcworld (not the cheapest, but not a grey import !!!! ) and you can walk in and talk to customer service :) it's why it makes best price so far :)
you never know what happens to your camera, and after that you need to send it (cost quit few £ :) ).
anyway, i prefer face to face sales (for cheap ones i use ebay etc., but for more value stuff, i don't want to risk)

Ofcourse, but if you are able to claim the VAT back its worth knowing. I know I was glad when someone pointed out the Dixons Tax Free pricing. Also you can return/deal with any Dixons Tax Free purchase at any Curry's digital.

However, in my experience DSG (Currys/Comet//Dixons) are far worse to deal with then Amazon :(. I think you will find that opinion echoed by many in here.

None the less I still buy from them, but only because I trust my Credit Card company should DSG try to wriggle out of any problems (from experience). Voted hot BTW, although it may sound like it, I'm not trying to put a downer on your deal.
