Looks like a good deal to me. It says you get the "18-55mm f/3.5-5.6GII AF-S DX NIKKOR lens"
"Please note this offer includes the Non VR 18-55 Lens, the image shown is for illustration only."

Does anybody know what the difference is between the DX and VR lenses?? and which is the best?

VR is vibration reduction (for a clearer handheld shot, reducing hand shake or whatever you want to call it), similar to IS (image stabilisation) in canon i would have thought that was a better lens but dont know off the top of my head what DX is..

i would say VR wouldnt be essential over an 18-55mm lens.. but theres probs a difference in the performace of glass if you have a look on some review sites

Apparently a dx lens is one designed for a cropped digital sensor. A dx VR is the same lens with anti shake/image stabilisation. It's not really a case of one or the other.
The name for each of these lens would be AF-S DX and AF-S DX VR, the VR being the better model assuming they are both same brand and quality and match in all other aspects.

Check whether they've mixed-and-matched the lens and body from different bundles. If they have, you'll need to send it back to buyacamera for warranty claims (rather than dealing directly with Nikon, or their authorized dealers).

Cheers for the reply, still not taken the plunge yet. Still weighing up whether I should go for a twin lens deal instead.
