The best price for this new zoom lens was £798 about a week ago - however, it's dropped by the best part of £100 from this shop (which I've not used before).

I expect there will be the usual comments about image quality compared to prime lenses, separate zooms covering smaller ranges, etc. However, for those who are looking for this as a walk-around or travel lens, then this seems to be the best price at the moment
