got a email from the supplier after i told them i posted it on here and he said

"Cheers for that, yes we did wander why we sold so many, how do you tell people about deals on the site? because from time to time we do get amazing deals"

X)
Ok, it's not as cost effective as these and you have to put a bit of work in but it's worth it .
How about taking a small box of safety matches and cramming in a load of swan vestas so the box is absolutely bulging at the seams then tightly wrapping brown parcel tape round and round until you have something the size of a grapefruit. Throw it at a wall really hard. Bounces of the wall, lands on the ground then "BANG!".
It's the delay before it goes off that gets me, it's brilliant.
Well it was brilliant nearly thirty years ago :-)
Rio snappers?
my local pound shop sell these for 25p a box. Heat added for those who are not as fortunate as me :)

DSi/3DS USB Charger (£1.75 @Amazon) sold by Ninjas Castle

Seems like a good alternative for people who opted for the 3DS XL deal earlier. Like me, for people who also have a wall charger and would like a USB one, £1.75 is a great price.

These are handy 'slow-chargers', in that they don't provide enough power to keep an open 3DS running indefinitely, but will slowly charge it up to full if they're shut. I have one at my desk at work and plug my 3DS in to it when I get in.
One thing to bear in mind is that some cables are not the same quality thus will charge slower - in some cases slower than usage when on. I have one and if I'm using it at the same time it still runs out.
In the end I bought another official wall adaptor and keep the USB in work as an emergency charge cable. (n.b. The USB plug was 2A so the issue wasn't with that.)

Sorry but this is absolute BS tbh. The most basic form of proof I can think of are old episodes of Sitcoms, the simpsons etc that have kids in the 80s and 90s all wanting the latest toy.

wasnt a 500 quid laptop and a 400 quid ipad though was it?

No but what the hell was there that cost a similar relative amount (Say £250 or whatever in those days) that kids would even remotely like?
Ordered for other 1/2, Son, Dad & Bro along with paper airplane kits, letting my son know what life was like pre xbox, he's going to love it!

Oh frankievallie, that's one of the saddest things I've seen in a long time, what a terrible thing to do to a child. If you didn't watch it, they gave him an xbox box with clothes in, he was heartbroken, don't watch it.

Would the kids rather go to school with no clothes on?! You won't get your kids taken away for not buying them an xbox but I would NOT recommend not buying them clothes! Such spoiled kids don't deserve xmas! Heartbreaking is the kids whose parents cannot afford food for them!!!
ANYway - awesome blast from the past ^_^ Just don't drop the stocking with them in on the way to the kid's rooms lol!

You miss the point. It's not the present, but the way the present was packaged. Buy the kid clothes, fine. Buy the kid clothes when he wants an Xbox, fine. Buy the kid clothes when he wants an Xbox, then place them in an Xbox box in order to fulfill and then destroy the child's hopes? That's unfairly harsh. It was totally needless.

I guess the point is having a sense of humour? My son aged 8 would find it hilarious!

Nope, you miss the point. Life is cruel and kids are super entitled thesedays! Back in the days where kids were using their 50p a week MAXIMUM pocket money to buy penny sweets and these snaps they didn't EXPECT xboxes so they wouldn't get upset. If anything's needless it's the xbox - strips their imagination! Let kids outside to play&be kids!
