Hardly surprising really. They probably won't be around in a years time, people will get fed up of feeling nauseous.

I bet they revise it within 12 months of now, at minimum, in the next two years. Much like the DS lite/DSi with a better screen and/or other features. Hence why I'm waiting this one out for now haha. Hot regardless for those who want in now

I would only contemplate buying this as soon as some decent games come out.

I bought this at this price at launch from Price Minister. I then sold it back to CEX after I playing with it for a few minutes.

Heat added all the same.

The deal is still no cheaper than buying from Game for £189.99 bundled with a game (Super Monkey Ball) which you can then sell to CEX for £19, meaning you get a console for £170.99.

Depends if you think the £4.01 discount is worth the hassle.

Wow i played this the other day and it strained my eyes within 5 minutes, good deal price wise but I would not buy one of these as I believe they can do a lot of harm.

Street Fighter 3D and Pilotwings are miles beyond "decent", they're two of the strongest launch titles I've ever played. The only crap games are the rushed third party ones.

Indeed. Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars, Ridge Racer and Lego Star Wars are also much better than I expected for launch titles.

Looking forward to Zelda, Resident Evil The Mercernaries and Lego Pirates next! X)

Great price for a good bit of tech. I for one am fed up of all these "i feel sick... murrrhhh I've got a headache" Load of tosh imo. I for one have suffered from headaches all my life, i havent got a single one yet from this device.

Dont turn the 3D all the way up, it's very simple. Start low, work up to what works for your eyes.. Too many idiots go for it on full blast.

The reason there are so many second hand is because on day one you could pick them up with a game for £200 then sell the console on it's own to CEX for £215. I won't lie, I managed to do a few of these so that I could get all the launch games free and bring the base cost down.
Then, after CEX dropped their price to £180, people started returning their unsold units and certain online stores started selling them as refurbished for £150. So again, people were purchasing these and selling to Game, HMV etc for £180. A mate at work did that but I didn't want to risk with that sort of money. My point is, there are so many second hand (which effectively are new) units in places like Game, HMV and CEX because there was profit in it.

My mate was using the headache excuse as a story when selling the units on or returning them. I think it's a great console and worth the money I paid for it.

There's a 3D slider though so even if you don't like the 3D you can just turn it off. Sure it's ONE of the features touted but it's not necessary by any degree.

I ponied up the cash, and managed to get a pre-owned one in 12-year-old-boy-blue with two games for £225.

I have to say, Nintendo do make incredibly impressive experiences. The 3D is compelling and definitely adds a measure of immersion. So far, I've played about two hours of Ridge Racer 3D and have been suitably impressed. I'm also looking forward to the experiencing the (reportedly short but fun) Pilotwings 3D.

In summary: very promising hardware, but mostly underwhelming titles so far.

Vision issues aside, the battery life is terrible. I got mine for a trip to Rome to keep me occupied on the journey. When i found it hardly lasted 3 hours with wifi off....it was time to return it. I don't understand those who say "i will only be playing it at home anyway..." its a handheld, battery life and portability are very important.
I was impressed with the graphics although they are no better than Wii, but I will wait until a new one comes out with better battery life and catalogue of games.
Heat add for the price though.

Great price. Amazing hardware package....so much great stuff bundled.

Tricky for them though...hard to market the 3D on a tv (they need to change their strategy away from the life style ads anyway).

They should start doing a bunch of advertising during 3D trailers at the cinema (and stick a 3DS running 3d trailers in cinema foyers). Also a mistake to keep the branding so close to the old DS as your average punter just thinks it's the same old DS with a 3D screen.

..and some will feel eyestrain on the first day or 2.....but it will disappear entirely after that (like getting used to a new pair of glasses).Of course we live in such an attention deficit disorder society that some won't give it the day or two it needs to get used to the display.

Still..Ocarina of Time in June.X) ...and the May firmware update should provide a nice chunk of free and paid for downloadable content.
