Sweeeeet!! got £180 cash for mine from GAME today, nice to rip them off for a change, now to sell the games!

These should come with a pack of paracetamol, Apparently over 50% of sold hand sets have been returned because people are getting ill playing on them!
#4
@munkster is that not just tabloid hype? Has anyone had any firsthand experience of headaches?

I dunno where you found that statistic lol! :D I have always suffered from car/travel sickness and get migraines, the 3DS did not cause me any discomfort although im sure it could affect some.

I got rid of mine because I just found the 3D annoying, impressive to look at but got on my nerves playing games with it on. The so called "sweet spot" is tiny, as soon as I started to relax the screen went all blurry and I had to adjust how I was holding it, although I could need a trip to specsavers, but never had trouble with my eyes before oO

35% of statistics on this site are made up ****.

Prices of these seem to be dropping all the time now, glad I traded mine in to hmv when I did

The games are rubbish, that's the problem. You can buy them brand new on the high street for £169 (Big Entertainment, Manchester Arndale) They are also selling the games at £25 a pop.

I just play pokemon on mine, I don't know why I play it but I just can't help myself.

As expected the price is falling :D

You wonder how they are falling, there has been no announcement of a trade price cut, are retailers sitting on too much stock? There probably is some truth to the high returns rumours but probably above normal numbers but not ridiculously high.
#12
it was way too expensive

Omg, the smear campaign and all the allegations are getting worse and worse.

For the people who are contributing to the smear campaign: Good for you, you're the ones missing out on a fantastic piece of hardware.

For everyone else who is enjoying their systems: High five and omg, streetpass quest is getting really hard! :(

Indeed. I'm also really enjoying Pilotwings by the way. Anyone who complains about that game being too short obviously hasn't tried getting any perfect scores. I'm 14 hours in and I still haven't found everything.

I've got Street Fighter and Ghost Recon. Ghost Recon takes a while to get into but if you're an Advance Wars fan, there is something in there for you for sure.

I do really want to get Pilotwings, I played it at HMV and was 'wowed' by the 3D.

I got the information from a good friend who works in the returns department for eXpansy's, He actually handles a lot of the returns for the company so he knows what he is talking about.

They probably only sold 2 and one got returned... hence the 50%. All the stores have been asked about the high amount of returns and have revealed that it is all made up. Still think it's way overpriced considering it's about £155 in america.

Damn region locking...

Its going to get a higher return rate as its obvious a certain percentage of people find the 3D uncomfortable and disorientating its just the newspapers make it sound ridiculous.

I was in weymouth game store yesterday and was surprised to see that the demo unit/pod still had a DSi and DS XL in it rather than a 3DS replacing one of those. Couldn't help thinking the 3DS would be brilliant as a 3DS XL.

Up to £191.99 on Amazon now...interesting. Regarding the headache thing; my daughter and I had a go on one in ToysRUs - she was fine with it but it actually did make me feel slightly sick and as if I had eyestrain. You can turn the level of "3d-ness" down a bit though so that might have helped. Hopefully the price will drop again....
