Its looking like it'll be a hundred quid by christmas, it clearly hasn't sold as well as they'd hoped

Cheapest 3DS I've ever seen. Also the most expensive headache.
#3
Great deal. Annoys me that I paid £199 though :(
#4
Think prices will drop further.
#5
Not the cheapest ever: it's been £159 at bee.com with their "20% off everything" offer ;-)
Hot!
#6
Great price - personally I am waiting until June to see what the next phase of games are like - but if you want one now then this is the best I have seen

Oh quite close though

These should be no more than £99 anyway, can see them coming down to that by the next 6 months!

They have already knocked 70 quid off since launch and if people wait they will get bargains, but you have to be patient because they won't reduce prices if thousands are still buying em!

Most people are holding out for the better games which are going to be released in Summer/Autumn. Don't expect it to go below £150 any time soon.

I would get it at this price regardless of the poor catalogue.

200 left in stock so theres plenty of time deciding if you want it or not

Maybe you're using it wrong...

Hot deal. Only managed to get mine for £160 because of 2 £10 vouchers so greatful for that! :D
#13
cheapest so far but the money you save wont be enough to buy you pain relief for the headache
#14
cheap price but i still think this will drop more ..reports are this hasnt sold nearly as well as nintendo had hoped for and some stores are reporting there not going to stock the hardware because people are still buying normal dsi instead not many really want the 3d feature ..
#15
Much better price from £200. I have to admit although I loved mine when it first came out. I am slightly bored with it, let alone play with it. The new wave of games in my opinion is a too long wait. After that, there is another wait. Zelda is the reason I purchased it along with MGS...... Ahhhh the wait!

A lot of negative comments on 3ds i've heard comes from people who tries to focus double images on demo unit in the mall when another person is playing and actually never really owned or played one alone. oO

Actually the 3d effect is really good for such a small screen and the console shows great potential, but you have to use it properly.

I agree, however, that the launch price was too high.

Granger Games launch price was really high so they probably have loads of stock left over to shift. I had a pre-order with them as they told me they would match the cheapest price when I asked months before the launch, they didn't. I went with the Tesco deal and got my deposit back from Grangers.

The 3DS is great though, don't listen to all the haters.

Literally bought one off ebay today with 3 games for £185 but for new from a proper dealer this is the best around. Heat.
#19
Nintendo have stuffed this up because a.) they haven't released any decent games for the 3DS and b.) probably never will and c.) have released so many iterations of the DS that most people are probably just looking at this as a slightly tweaked re-release of a 7 year old console.

It did. Then people realised there was no decent games out for it, and wont be for some time.

Is this actually "new" as I'm sure Grainger games have sent me copies of games before that although they claimed were new, they clearly weren't.
I don't expect anyone to match this deal for a while, personally I think that the 3DS will still be well above £150 come Christmas especially as more games come out.
#22
don't know what you guys mean by using it properly, but i played this and felt like puking afterwards. Would never play again. But a hot deal for a 3DS.

This.

I'll be buying once its hacked. Regardless of the 3D implementation, I dont agree with paying for ports of games I already own.

What a completely idiotic thing to say, in that case I don't believe in paying for a car that has the same function as mine, so ill be down to steal yours tonight.

Will keep dropping. Nintendo took a massive hit in sales in last year and need this one to sell so can see it dropping to £129.99 before year is out...

Glad it's only the black (ordered the Blue one with Ridge Racer, Executive case and screen protector from Amazon for £195 this week).

Either way though, £165 is HOT and the games are coming slowly but surely.

nice find..

Anyone live on Tyneside and know if you can pick up orders from their warehouse in Longbenton? I live literally 10 minutes away and it would be frustrating having to wait for Royal Mail 1st class.

This is a NEW CONSOLE.

It is more powerful than original DS and DSi, with a lot of new features like a 3-axis accelerometer, 3-axis gyroscope, a new analog circle pad and capable to shoot 3d pictures.

The system has better Wi-Fi connectivity with enhanced security (WPA2).

Those new features is/will be used for Augmented reality, New Messaging Service, Virtual Console service, StreetPass and SpotPass Mode, New Internet Browser and of course in better games.

There is also included a cradle that acts as a charger.

There is too much focus on the 3D alone.
If 3D is wrong for you just turn it off (there is a slider on the left to adjust or turn off the 3D) and enjoy this NEW CONSOLE in 2D. ;)

There are plenty of flash cards available for this, I have already set 1 up and am using it but can only play standard DS games and not the 3DS games on that card, as things stand. But I prefer the older DS titles anyway........(_;)

Had a 3DS...went back after a week; made my eyes hurt. Each to their own but why has no one mentioned the battery life? I bought it for a trip to Rome only to find out it wouldn't make it through the wait at the airport never mind the flight. I have an iPad 2 that lasts 10.5 hours. 2.5 hours is simply no good for a handheld. Good price if you want one though.

It's sold a bit worse than Nintendo wanted but it's hardly not selling. 3.6 million units sold so far apparently against a plan of 4 million so it's hardly a flop and not likely to get anywhere near to £100 anytime soon considering how long the DS held it's price.

I'm waiting for better games myself, there wasn't really anything in the launch lineup that interested me but there are quite a few interesting looking games coming out this year.

Using it properly consists of turning the 3D off and then turning it on and slowly raising it bit by bit over time, letting your eyes get used to it, this is especially so if it is making you feel sick.

A lot of people either start out playing at maximum 3D and can't handle it; try to focus on the whole screen as a single image which can't be done with 3D or try to focus outside of the sweet spot and end up trying to comprehend a double image, all of which leads to eye-strain and queasiness.

If you are having serious problems with the 3DS I would suggest visiting your optician and getting your eye health and sight checked.
