As we celebrate 20 years since the launch of Pokémon Red Version and Pokémon Green Version in Japan, the next era of Pokémon games has been announced! Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon are coming out for Nintendo 3DS family systems in late 2016, with a new world, new Pokémon, and new adventures to discover!

Using Pokémon Bank, you'll be able to transfer Pokémon you've caught in the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console versions of Pokémon Red Version, Pokémon Blue Version, and Pokémon Yellow Version: Special Pikachu Edition into your copy of Pokémon Sun or Pokémon Moon. Pokémon from Pokémon Omega Ruby, Pokémon Alpha Sapphire, Pokémon X, and Pokémon Y can also be brought into Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon in the same way.

Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon will be the first games in the Pokémon series to allow players to choose from nine languages to play in. In addition to English, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, and Spanish, players will now be able to play in both Traditional and Simplified Chinese.

Also same price for Sun (cheers, jco83)

not really if it means paying quite a bit more id rather just get the game when it comes to a more reasonable buying price as over £30 for a 3ds game for me is a nono

Which is fair enough. But in today's pricing. I think the cheapest for Moon (for example) is £30.75 from Boomerang.

It's really nice and the price of a pint extra. Well worth it.

I'm no huge drinker but a steelbook is worth £4 if you're a fan of the related game, in my opinion X)

It's not just the price of the game but also they resell well don't they?

how does this stack up against the original pokemon games of blue, red & yellow. still as addictive? worth buying a 3ds for?

It's different obviously, but I find it just as fun. I played Pokemon as a kid so I might be nostalgia tinted, but the game has evolved with the times. I think watching some gameplay on YouTube might make your mind up.

As for the 3DS, there are a few really decent games that make one worth buying/owning. I wouldn't be without mine :)
