Nintendo 3DS XL with 4 GB card - £169.97 @ Gamestop (3 Colours)

goonertillidiegoonertillidie[helper]

Cheapest by £10 beating Amazon / shopto etc

The Nintendo 3DS XL is a new version of Nintendo 3DS with 90 % larger screens. The new system will create even more immersive entertainment experiences for users, delivering a wealth of games and video content that can be enjoyed on the go.

The new system's battery life outperforms that of the original Nintendo 3DS, and it comes bundled with a 4 GB SD card.

Even with the addition of the bigger screen, Nintendo's aim was to still make the system available at a reasonable purchase price. Because of this, and because so many fans already own a previous handheld, an AC adapter will not be included

Good spot. Not sure whether to order yet though as hopefully other places will go cheaper. Possibly supermarkets.

ASDA will almost certainly have the best offer by miles.

It comes with an AC adapter here. It's just in Japan where no AC adapter isn't included.

Not adding the second thumb stick seems mad. Suppose they don't want to annoy original 3ds owners but does this mean they are going to release a circle pad xl? that would look ridiculous but if not does that mean they are giving up on it and wont be supporting the 2nd thumb stick any more?

they said the small screen version 3ds gave people headaches....so they make the screen even bigger? wtf !

These jokers have cancelled every order I've ever made with them. Note that they take money when you order, well before it's dispatched.

All 3DS XL's come with a 4GB SD card. So it's a bit misleading how they have it advertised.

There is definitely no AC adapter in the box within the EU.

There is no AC Adaptor included here either. Look at Amazon's product page as they have the boxshot which says "AC Adaptor not included."

Amazon sell the Adaptor for £6.99 and the Cradle + Adaptor for £19.99.

Hardly misleading - I am stating what is included as some may think you just get the console.

Also OP states no AC adapter is included

Cold they are milking the 3ds console for more money. Next it will be the 3ds lite etc. I think what they need to do is make a new 3ds console with a second thumbstick or concentrate on making another handheld console, which won't need lots of different versions.

Sorry, I didn't mean for it to come across like I was moaning at you. It's more with GameStop advertising it like it's something they're offering exclusively.

And the AC comment is aimed at one of the earlier comments.

This article at Kotaku claims the 3DS XL will launch with an AC adapter in North America. Since no EU details have been annouced yet, I assume that we'll be seeing the same thing as the US.

Nope. The EU will not be getting an adapter, along with Japan.

The US only get an adapter due to a special request afaik.

I'm hoping Tesco do. Have nearly £45 in vouchers to spend there.

Nintendo EU have confirmed no Power Adapter for Europe

Interestingly, the European presentation noted that no AC adapter will be included with the updated hardware and will have to be purchased seperately, although you can use your existing adapters

Rip off price considering the out of date hardware, design and specs.

How is it out of date? The rivals haven't caught them yet...

Always funny when people slate Nintendo. Guess you thought the Wii would be crap too?

To be fair, if he did - he wasn't wrong.
