Have seen previous post with vouchers on so if anyone finds it post for others please.

Was cheeky and almost got 20% off the price but cashiers supervisor was behind her and said no!

NB. This was my Local Woolworths Halesowen Store

Good price, although I'd be sceptical about warranty for obvious reasons.

Why? The warranty is with the manufacturer not with Woolworths. Good deal, voted hot

Thanks for that. Learnt something.

I assumed the first 12 months is with the retailer you bought it from, like most places.

Are the vouchers just lying around in the shop?

Thanks

Not quite;

I wouldn't advise actually ordering anything through the website though, personally; given the circumstances.

not literally - someone was handing them out outside the front of the shop - someone has posted a link somewhere on hukd where you can print them off.

Middle of next year, worse battery life, no GB slot either
#19
My local still had it priced for £99.99 and no discount vouchers anywhere

the warranty is with the manufacturer....sure your contract is with the retailer, but they dont exist anymore, then it is the responsibility of the manufacturer to resolve the problem...i think you are worrying about nothing.....if you pay by credit card you get additional protection anyway

carefull when paying with a credit card - you are only protected on purchases over £100. You dont have to pay the full amount on a credit card tho - you could pay just £1 on your credit card and be protected for the item - however Not Applicable on this as the item is under £100

#24

It is, your contract is with the retailer not the manufacturer.

And it's not 12 months, its actually worded: "a reasonable period" which shops like to say is 12 months which in a lot of cases is rubbish. It could be argued that a console should last until its replacement/next version comes out and that that is the reasonable period of time..

The key issue is whether the DS has a manufacturers guarantee in the box with it?
If so then the manufacturer will fix it for you.. if not then they would be under no legal obligation to do so as your contract is with the retailer only. Im sure nintendo will have a year guarantee making this a safe bet.. but thats definitly not always the case..

The Xbox (as linked in the other thread explaining - which is misleading) is the same.. the contract is with the retailer but they can suggest to you its easier and quicker to go direct to microsoft (who offered a years manufacturer guarantee) and that will also cover you for RROD for three years because of the extension microsoft applied for that specific circumstance.

Did anyone get one at this price?

I tried calling and went to several WW stores, and no one had even heard of this offer - either in-store or online.

I wish morons like this are taken off this site.
#38
Tried 3 branches near me, but there were none prices at £89.99
