How can you say that when the console cost £99.99 anyway the games are all free.

Good price, normally around £100 without any games so 3 "not so great" games for free almost is a good deal.
#5
If you want a DS, I would advise waiting a while. The new model is due out in April at which point you should see the price fal fairly significantly.

You should only be paying £85 for the console:

But if you happen to like these games then it's a useful deal to get three for £15.

The new Dsi i think its called has a camera incorporated, is it due out in the uk in april - i thought japan was getting it in october and they used to get stuff way before us

Hardly much difference with the new DS, and the price certainly won't drop for over a year, so, unless you really don't want one at all, there's no reason to wait.

£130 for the cheapest white, £117 for black. I must be missing something:thinking:

Not to delve into the world of copywrite but i always think you are an idiot if you buy a DS and games as well. For about £20 these days you can get a flash card which plays all the DS games you want.

There enough of a difference, otherwise they wouldn't release it! On what basis is your statement "the price won't drop for over a year" based on. On the contrary I thnk that you will see a small price drop prior to the new release and then the increase on the run up to chrsitmas. I would expect a price of around £50 - £60 by then.

Fully disagree, but we'll have to see.

the DS lite is a major improvement over the original DS, with better screens and size being the main points.

The new DS is only comparable in my eyes to HD against ordinary digital TV. Nice, and will take over eventually, but not necessary.

The DSi that is due for release in April is hardly groundbreaking, the additional features are very basic and the camera is of very poor quality.

The main reason for releasing the DSi is to try and protect there material, the flash cards currently on the market are not compatible with the DSi so nintendo are hoping this will mean additional game sales for them. The only way to release a newer version is to add on some extras otherwise current owners would not bother upgrading.

Technology is great though there will be new flash cards for the dsi introduced in the next few months almost certainly. I'm not advocating the technology but price wise games are overpriced so really Nintendo would be better off combating these cards by reducing prices to a more reasonable level.

Technology is already catching up, do a search on google for an Acekard 2i flash cartidge. Not that I would ever recommend such a product :whistling:

So, did anyone decide in the actual point of the new DS?
