Slighty off topic but I got a DS earlier this week for £79.95 from John Lewis Direct as they had them in stock again. Their normal price is £99.95 but with the £20 discount code for new customers floating around somewhere else on the forum, this made it very cheap. Obviously this doesn't include a game though, but I thought it was worth mentioning if you're after a cheap DS only.

Out of stock at John lewis now though. Silver ones very hard to get hold of, hopefully the new colours out on Friday (metallic red...) will make people leave the silver ones alone!

I kept checking for a few days in a row to see if they were back in stock. Then on Friday I was lucky, but it probably didn't take long for them to run out.

I phoned a London Zavvi store and they confirmed the offer, but when he checked stock for all of London, he could only see pink ones.

I can't find any reference to a UK release of a red one... where did you get this information??

I just sold my ds yesterday as the microphone had gone... planning on buying a new one once my virgin card comes through.

edit: http://www.game.co.uk/News/?lid=8647&ad=05_02_2008<<-- Says that a Cobalt/Blue one plus more are coming... sounds interesting.

Wow, i cant believe these things are still so hard to get a hold of (and still so expensive)
Supply and demand i guess...
I bought a DS Lite from Great Universal last year for £59.05 - Quidco!

Yeah, but I can find no suggestion that they are being released in the UK on Friday though... I think it's a US thing. I suppose I'll buy myself another black one from Virgin to replace the one I sold.

CEX are paying £86 for boxed ones - it's crazy!

that is a good price.I'm looking for one for my mum as bought mine a few weeks ago. whats the deal with the download card things i'm confused someone mentioned them to me but what do you have to do etc?
Thanks

Ahhh ppl are getting DS for 59.99?

Almost regret buying mine from ebay now - I got a crimson black one (japanese version) posted from HK and it took a week to get here. Paid £99.99 then £10 for delivery and it arrived a few days ago. I did search online for all the stores and none of them had any (and no, didn't want a pink one :( originally wanted a white one - and any in stock in UK were selling for £130s)

With regards to the download thing you need to buy an R4 or M3. It lets you use a memory SD (TF) card to save your games and play it on your ds. Just search for r4ds or m3 on a search engine.

Picked up a silver one in Nottingham today, they only had More Brain Training though.

I know this topic is a little ld now but I was just at Zavvi in Cribbs Causeway, Bristol.

The deal is still on and the games available with it are:

Dr Kawashima's Brain Training
More Brain Training
My Word Coach
Cooking Mama 2
and another...think it's a Sonic game

Anyways, my point is Cooing Mama 2 currently retails at £25 BUT!!! CEX value it quite highly. You can sell back to them for £16 (or £20 for exchange!!)

Another deal they have is for a DS, an 'essentials pack (case, few stylus, screen protector) and ANY game which is £110.

Seems really good! The next best I can find is from Tesco. It's in store only (as far as I can find anyway!) and even then it's not all stores. It's £96 plus Crash of the Titans.
Yes, that's £4 cheaper (plus clubcard points i guess) but on CEX Crash is only worth £7 cash or £10 exchange

Some food for thought!

Oh, heat and rep added even tho it's late
