Nintendo DS Lite £85.10 collection at airport

Numerous DS lite deals around at the moment, most seem time limited. However, Dixons Tax free sell the DS Lite (most colours) for £85.10 in their airport tax free shops.
Yes I know that this is conditional on flying from an airport with a Dixons Tax Free, and yes, the saving maybe made up from the Tax Element, but, if you are after a DS Lite, and you are flying from an airport, and want to save several pounds, not have the hassle of deliveries, and have a sound receipt and guarantee in your hand for easy returns etc, this this is a good option. This price is not new but to me was the most sensible option when I bought mine back in August. Wasn't going to post it, but seeing deals recommended for DS Lites at more expensive prices make me think this is a good option. Bearing in mind the millions of flights made per year, this is not that selective either.
Meant to add, can't see it on t he website, but phone your local airport Dixons and they will put one aside in your name.

Hehe, I need to put my cardy on!!

However, everything aside, rather than being a stupendous one off  deal, the offer itself, whilst by no means spectacular, is a hassle free way of getting a DS Lite at £15 below the normal prices you will find.

Lol, the fickleness of the Great Buying public:http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/253789/ds-lite-console-any-colour-89-99-in/
This one is cheaper, and no running around chasing non existent stock .
May help someone though.

This is good for some things, I went though Stansted and had a look in the store, was looking for a new camera. The one I wanted was cheaper than I had found on the web but only by a few quid. Worth a look if there's something you want and you travelling soon.

I was in Stansted Dixons Duty Free on Saturday and was not impressed by their pricing as they had the 7inch sony LCD photo frame at £117.49 where it is £99 in their high street stores. I was hoping to get this for myself. I am a little concerned that they are marking up their prices to enable them to "remove" the tax making them seem a bargain. Has anybody else noticed this and if so is it only Dixons?

At the end of the day, if it is cheaper than you can legitimately get elsewhere, does it matter??
This is cheaper than many other deals posted with no problems over stock availability rather than rushing around trying to get an £80 lite which you can't get anymore.
The net price is the cheapest off the shelf price non time limited that I have seen.

Incidentally, quite often, if you do your research several items, such as large TVs etc, will be cheaper than you can get elsewhere. I know that some have bought TVs at the airport again far cheaper than other online or bricks and mortar retailers, and arranged to get them delivered.

Fair point although I think users should do their research before picking up tax free at an airport as some items may have been marked up to allow for the tax free discount - net effect is that you pay high street price. A general warning as opposed to a comment on this specific deal.

ps. Underin - thanks for the rep. Much appreciated.

Not available to most people plus not much of a saving.
