Nintendo DS Lite is a lighter and brighter version of the highly successful Nintendo DS, which has sold more than 4 million units across Europe and 16 milllion units worldwide.

Nintendo's latest console includes all the existing features of the Nintendo DS, yet includes a variety of distinctive changes which truly sets it apart from other handheld consoles. Nintendo DS Lite retains the advanced touch screen technology, allowing players to control the software with a stylus or even their finger, as well as dual screens, voice recognition and Wi-Fi capabilities of the Nintendo DS but is now both smaller and lighter. Weighing nearly 60g less than the original, it is just two thirds of the original size. The redesign isn't only cosmetic though, the Nintendo DS Lite features adjustable screen brightness with four settings, a repositioned microphone for ease of use and a larger and more comfortable stylus. With its new design and unique features, this console is perfect for everyone regardless of age, gender and gaming skills.

Can someone please point out where it is cheaper?

This is a serious request, but please don't just say amazon if this is what people are planning to say.

There will be rep in it for those that find a better price.

Woolworths, £69.99 with the free postage and £30 off for your first order voucher. Mine arrived this morning.

The voucher has long expired.

Been trying to order since Sunday and no joy.

Is there a new one? Or a one for Litttlewoods or Additions Direct?

thats a great price. when the DSi first came out you couldnt get a DS-Lite for anything less than £130 as everyone was out of stock. Gradually they have been coming down in price again but the best i had seen recently was around £97. a couple of months before the DSi came out you could pick the lites up around this price (£90) but they havent been back to those prices until now

dunno what makes you thinks it's a DSi as it clearly has the volume switch bottom left?

anyway, I agree this is a fantastic price for this time of the year. Sure enough these have been £60 in the past and will probably be £60 in the future but for now £90 is a pretty good price.

For those that missed, or were to to busy saying it won't work, the £60 deal with Woolworths, this is a good price.

Are you sure this is the cheapest price?

Argos were doing a package sale last week. I think it ended on Monday or yesterday, where they were selling a DS lite with 4 colour choices, essentials kit (case, extra stylus and other stuff) and a choice of 4 very basic games. They were selling the lot for £97.79. I reserved and picked it up on saturday for a present for my young Goddaughter ...

I thought it was an OK price, but not a good enough deal to post on here ...

but hope your having fun with your purchase!

Fair enough - I wasnt trying to be funny and didn't vote it cold, it's just that I paid £99.99 for my DS Lite over a year ago, a newer version with more features has been released, have seen the DS Lites being flogged off in Morrisons for £60 previously and also the DSi can be had for £129, can't it?

I just thought that £90 for a DS Lite with no extras seems a lot but if it's the cheapest around then who am I to say otherwise?

I think they did this exact same deal last Christmas and they sold out like hot cakes.

The DS just doesn't seem to devalue really.

he is correct it is a DSi picture the op posted, it should be changed! bottom left is the power button, the screens are bigger, its matt black not gloss and the camera is visible, so clearly a DSi:thumbsup:

Blem'in cheek. I'll vote whatever way i want to.
It's about finding the best possiable price for a product, regardless if the retailer is allowed on here or not.

Indeed this isn't that great of a price, only paid £10 more 2 years ago for this + a game and its cheaper elsewhere

I think you're right actually because a guy I used to work with bought one for his girlfriend from there. Still a tenner price drop in a year isn't too bad, especially when it is supposed to have been since replaced by a 'superior' model.

I agree. I really can't see the point of buying a DS lite when the DSI can be had for only a few quid more?!?

The picture on the argos website is the DS lite, but the picture used on the first post is clearly a DSI and is a little misleading and should be changed.

I was going to get this, but the thing that has given me serious pause is it does not come with a case bundled.

Most retailers sell these with a starter pack bunded which has a carry case, screen protectors and extra stylus.

£90 for the console and Starter pack would be a great deal, but without and given that a case alone is £8 for a decont one I don't think I will be going for this.

Same goes for the ToysRus deal, it doesn't seem to come with a case.

Going to rep those two people with cheaper suggestions, but they are not specifically what I am looking for as I would like a case bundled at least for £90.

You've missed the start of the conversation I reckon.

I said:

The reference was to the pic attached to the HUKD post which is a DSi and misleading. Argos have a Ds Lite pictured.

You can clearly see the power button on the bottom left / bigger screens / different shape in the image posted by OP.

In response to anyone quoting the Woolworths 70 quid deal. For a DS, 90 quid is a decent price, 70 was an extraordinary price.
Personally I opted for Sainsbury £120 DSi (now expired) rather than a 90quid DS Lite, but that doesn't mean 90 is a bad price!

Quite surprised no one has tried to say this is pointless as a new DS is out soon and posting the DSi XL (larger DSi) as seems to happen on here usually. People often seem to miss the point.
