Yes, ideal replacement for your imported DS Lite :)

Bought! Thanks OP. Used Google checkout, as then it doesn't ask you for an NUS card number, and still got the discount. Cheers

Be very VERY wary of cheap power adapters like this one. It was all over the news a month ago about how cheap imported chargers like this one can be very dangerous!!! Leave it on overnight and you might not wake up the next morning!

I recently had a cheap USB charger go bang on me, luckily I was around when it happened!!!

hot from me......hopefully the plug doesn't get this hot!

Anyone know if this will fit a GBA sp?

wouldn't buy one. Got stuck in the back of my DS thought i might have to sent it off to be repaired. got it out in the end but i have a few marks on the back. Spend the extra and get a real one.

I doubt it, even the original DS and the lite have different shaped plugs let alone the GBA sp.

And where would you go about getting a real one then? :P

As others have said, don't bother - while this is a good deal as it's cheap, you already have a US DS charger, right? Just get a US > UK adapter for the plug and it'll work.

Need an adaptor for an old chunky DS. Anyone selling/has a link? thanks

*WARNING*
Wrong....a UK plug adaptor is not just what you would need for a US charger to work here as they are not multivoltage, they run at 110V not 220-240 in europe. You would need a stepdown converter in addition to a UK plug adaptor.

Whilst the output DC voltage is the same at 5.2v unlike the Sony PSP PSU which is multivoltage 110-240V the Nintendo DS and DS Lite PSU adaptors are specific US and Japan being 110V and the UK and european ones being 230V.

Please don't give incorrect information like that on here as you could seriously cause someone to mess up their DS from such unresearched information like that.

The SAFE way to get a US or Japanese DS Lite (or Phat) working in the UK is either to use a step down converter with the original Power Supply or buy an official Nintendo DS Lite (or Phat) UK PSU or opt for either a third party multivoltage 110-240V or a third party 240V one, simple as that.

I own a UK DS Lite now, but used to own a US bought DS Phat....never had a problem with a third party multivoltage power supply with that, you pay your money, make your choice..but never ever use a set AC voltage out of region without using a step up or step down converter. Always check the side of any PSU and see if its a set voltage or whether it states 110-240V (Multivoltage) before doing anything silly with ANY appliance.

Please also note that the DS and DS Lite use different power connectors too, so unless you buy a lead adaptor these are not interchangeable.

Got mine the other day, and being Logic 3 it is a high quality one, so a complete bargain, thanks again OP

I wasn't worried about buying a cheap charger for the DS, I expected it to work like the normal ones do, after all, they are all made in china! However I bought one of these after I saw the deal and have used it once. There was a loud 'pop' about half an hour after I used the charger and then it was kaput. I bought 4 of these and am a bit reluctant to try the others now. Thankfully my DS still works.
I'm sure some people will use these and have no problems, however, I just wanted to nake my experience known. If you can afford a more expensive charger, I wouldnt take the chance with these.
