Nintendo ds lite reduced to £80.00 at Asda Living

Not much else to say other than it has been reduced to £80. All colours available at the Newport Store (Gwent). Although there are some great bundle deals I wanted the console only so I could choose my own games.

Sorry if it's a dup post :-)

True - but the demand will drop off straight away because a lot of buyers will prefer to wait for the new model. Expect prices for the current model to slide.

Reggie said the US aren't going to get the new DS until 'way into' 2009, so i wouldn't be surprised if we dont get the new DS til this time next year, ready for xmas 2009

Probably not until after Xmas, if they do drop before then it will not be by much

£80 for a DS is a bargain.

New DSi doesn't look like it's worth getting... Only changes are a Digicam, SD slot and it's slightly slimmer.

Who wants a **** resolution digicam on a DS? If you want an SD slot get a Edge/R4 etc ;)
#13
Ah but the DSi isn't just a DS lite with a couple of silly cameras nailed on it.
It's a DS lite with a couple of silly cameras nailed on it, lower battery life and no GBA slot (so forget the Guitar Hero controller). I'm all for it though if it lowers the price of the excellent DS lite.

Just asked in local Trowbridge (Wilts) store (regular ASDA) and they're not doing this deal. The chick I spoke to wasn't sure if they'll be running with this in future however so might be worth keeping an eye out. Personally I think I'll stick to finding a decent bundle, purchase a DSTT seperately, then sell off the bundled games to bring the overall cost of the DS down.... not saying this is the cheapest approach just what I'll be doing out of personal preference.

When the DS Lite's came out the old style DS's were still in demand & didn't sell for a lot less. Wonder if this will happen with the new third version.

Just bought a silver Lite one last week with a new release game as a present for £109 so I didn't lose out too much on combined price, but this is an excellent price. Very hot :thumbsup:

The DSi will also have larger screens, improved speakers, internal flash memory and a built-in web browser. It'll also be possible to download games (DS Ware) from an online store. As for the camera resolution, it shouldn't be a problem on a 3 inch screen. I see more possibilities for the camera - webcam, eye toy games.

I agree, £80 for a DS Lite is a bargain.

Has Chick replaced Ho and B*itch as terms for ladies? :whistling:

Last person I heard using the term Chick was Huggy bear in Starsky and Hutch :oops:

Never noticed, here is the "Store locator" page, people can put in their postcode, select "ASDA living" and it will bring up the stores nearest them;
