each colour comes with a different game (or so i thought seems black/blue have same)
pink - nintendogs
red - big brain academy
blue/black - brain training

edit2: seems different games available in pakcs elewhere probably replacing these

Carlisle Morrisons have the offer, when I phoned the guy said the DS lite was £70 and a DSI was £100. Fab find, thanks!
#17
Reserved, thanks
#18
which is better, dslite for £70 or dsi for £100?
#19
Can someone explain why people are saying this is hot?

An original nintendo DS (phat) for £70?? are you kidding me?! They're barely worth £30!

I don't even think £70 for a DS Lite is a particularly good deal, is it? I see them all the time on the 'FS/FT' board for £40.

I must be missing something.....

If you're after a certain colour, pink, on ebay second hand is £65 plus, so may aswell well get the £70 new one with warranty plus a game
#24
Thanks. But I think I'd rather have peace of mind with warranty

So are you now going to post the place where you can get a DS lite for less than £70?

No, but I still don't understand why people are saying "WOW this is HOT!" for what is basically an old console.... fair enough if you really want a new one, but it will be worth about half that price once you've walked out the shop with it ;)

I took this post to mean 2 consoles, being a DS OR a DS lite, therefore 2 possible choices for £70 each. I feel it is a good price for a brand new & packaged games console.

Its HOT because its £20 than you can buy them anywhere else!!

My sister bought her son a DS lite last year from a Morrisons deal posted here for 65 quid.

This is still a brill price as it comes with a game.

Fair enough, but anyone paying £90+ (before discount) for a DS Lite must be a dimebar nutter. I suppose £70 is ok considering you get a full warranty.

Can anyone who buys this upload pic of reciept as proof?

Back tracking much?

Hot deal, if there weren't already 2 in our flat I'd be running off to grab one.
#35
On offer in my local store too, but the Lite version was advertised as a turquoise one, they didn't have one in. I'm sure the deal is for that colour only.
Also they were advertising XBOX Elite deal for £100, but again they didn't have any in.
I need to post that XBOX deal, got beaten to thids DS one!

it's for a DS Lite, not an original DS for a start, dunno why you thought it was in the first place...

and they may go 2nd hand for 40ish quid, but if you're wanting a brand new one, this is a good price.
#37
Ah £70 for one of these...have they not been around for years? Surely Nintendo have done enough skimming on this product by now and can start selling them for the price they're worth?

To be honest I'm surprised there's still a market for handhelds now smart phones can do just about everything. So instead of a DSI why not get emulators on them to emulate many consoles and have thousands of free games (cause you have all the original versions from years ago in your attic of course).

No, I still stand by the fact that £70 is a lot for an old console but I didn't know the pink ones sell for £65 on ebay so in light of that I said you may as well pay £70 and get a warranty.

But thanks for your concern.

Apart from a PSP name me another hand held console.
Both my sons have DS's and that the market they are aimed at, not serious gamers bit kids who don't have smart phones.
