Nintendo DSi XL - £119.99 *Instore* @ Sainsburys

Was in Sainsburys yesterday and they had offers on consoles as follows.

XBOX 360 4GB + Kinect £199
PS3 160GB £196
Nintendo DSi XL £119.99
Nintendo DSi £99.99

Best price I have seen for a DSi XL anywhere and they had loads of the consoles although it appears the Dsi XL's come in brown or red only.

Im soooooo glad I bought the 320 PS3 with LBP2 bundle at 228 a couple of weeks ago at Tesco! I was actually expecting teh consoles to stay at that proce for a while but they're all back to the 280 or so mark!
#12
I'm calling everywhere I can think of but I can't get it at £196 anywhere, I'm so gutted.

Dunno why that is as i work for comet and sainsburys has a local store to us and were allowed to match them.

Really want a DSi XL, tempted but think I'll wait until 3DS is released. Like jacksprout says, prices should tumble then. However, £119.99 is the cheapest around at the moment so have some heat.

If anybody is popping down to Sainsbury's do it fast - GAME send their employees to Sainsbury's to buy up stock when its discounted like this.
#16
I only want the xbox 360 but not the kinect, if I were to buy that bundle and sell the kinect, will by Xbox 360 still be under the warranty if it breaks, or will they want the whole bundle to replace it?
#17
yeah, hot price... I noticed the advert too on my visit yesterday (whitechapel) in the entrance but couldn't take a pics as i had no camera with me.
#18
does anyone know how much the xbox is for, per chance?without the kinect? as i do not have enough room to jump around...

They've got some stock at Leeds White Rose, but it looks like it's been burgled, can't see them lasting much longer "While stocks last"

Has anyone heard that Sony has a dispute with LG over their use of BD-ROM in PS3? I'm anticipating that PS3 prices will drop drastically as all the PS3 units on the shop shelves might dissappear so will the stock coming into the EU if the judge extends the initial 10 day confiscation fiasco. Or it might just get more expensive as stock shortages are unavoidable.

It is likely to maintain or slightly increase in price as stock dwindles, can't really see it falling in price given the basic rules of supply and demand.

Yeah, let's see how it goes. If LG win it could mean that Sony might be forced to pay ££ for every PS3 sold in the EU, which in turn might change PS3 into a luxury console to own. ;)

2nd hand DS's still go for over £50 on fleabay, which baffles me. Even broken ones go for over £20!

Maybe they will remove Blu-ray video playback like the stunt they pulled with Linux lol.

At the moment its a 10 day ban that stops them exporting them to the Netherlands. Nothing stopping them exporting them to Britain.
#28
So I finally managed to find a Sainsbury's with a PS3 in stock, sadly it's really far away so I can't get up there till the weekend but I've put one by. Phew...
#29
Actually it's the whole of Europe. Sony goods come into Europe via Rotterdam and Schiphol LINK

The ban is effective in the EU and the UK. They are being held at custom's warehouses, so no more PS3 restocking at this moment. That's what my "sources" say, lol...

just called Bradford superstore, they have 7 PS3 left. i'll go get one on saturday if its still available then. God-damn, which addiction is harder to kick? Smoking or HUKD addiction?? :D

The Xbox360, PS3 and DSi deals have already been listed here :

http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/ps3-160gb-196-xbox-360-4gb-plus-kinect-sensor-199-instore-sainsburys/884823

only the Nintendo DSi XL £119.99 doesn't appear to have been posted at the correct price so amended this title and credit to Cardboard_Robots & mug51 for posting the other information first.

Holland only - At present it has to be on a country by country basis. New EU law on its way to make it throughout the EU

Just got a ps3 and was told they were only allowed to keep 5 and they had to send the rest back for re-distribution.

I popped into PC World across the road and they agreed to price match and reduce 10% off the Sainsburys price for the Xbox bundle.

Didn't have any in stock though (so they say - should have asked about stock first).
#37
Just been over to Sainsburys Rugby and picked up a Wine Red DSi XL. It really does look very nice. If anyone is still looking for one they had more in stock, but only in Wine Red.

The warranty for the Xbox 360 console will be seperate to that of the Kinect, regardless of whether you bought them together as they are two seperate entities. :)

went to currys and they price matched sainsburys for the dsi xl and gave me an extra £2.50 off (10% of the difference) making them £117.49 and they let me pick different colours so got a yellow and green and wine red for the children.

Also don't think with the new 3D ones coming out that they will clear these cheap as the 3D ones are smaller screens the DSi XL have huge screens!

cheers for this, picked up a DSi XL for the other half. should keep her happy for a while lol
