Voted hot. Good price for a GC controller. Can be used with Wii to play original GameCube games, VC games and some Wii games as well.

was going to get a 'classic' controller, but 2 of these for 7 sounds great for the odd VC game

They are alright - obv they arnt as good as the official but pretty decent for the odd play

Cheers. I've been after one of these as I have a couple of Zelday GC games I picked up to play on the Wii but hadn't got round to sourcing a controller. Probably not as good as the official ones but at this price it'll certainly make a good stop gap. Thanks.

AFAIK, for VC + GC games you may need a GC controller or a wii classic controller depending on the games you buy. I dont think it is a simple as having a GC controller to cover all VC + GC games. Which makes sense for nintendo because they charge a fortune for accesories.

I thought only the Wavebird controller worked for all GC and VC games?

Never seen a gamecube controller in a pound shop.

I bought 8 last time they were in there. Still down to two because of breakages. The joystick tends to break, or internal parts go wrong
#15
Lol. i remember when i payed about £15 for one for these
#16
Have ordered two, so where do I get cheap GC games? Would really like Mario Double Dash or Mario Sunshine.

I will be listing a large amount of gamecube games tonight :-D

Be warned that not all unofficial GC controllers will work with the Wii. But if the OP says this one is fine, then go for it as its a good price.

 Thank you!

It's some 3rd party tat, it's not an official GC controller. Hence the cheapness.

Brilliant, thanks - voted hot!

Still instock btw

youve just sorted out my mates birthday present - quality!
#26
I wouldn't waste my money on a third party controller. The Wavebird for £17.99 from play.com six months was a great deal.

What about this for £5.99

You wouldn't waste your money on a third party one. But you would get a Wavebird (third party) one? And you'd consider a qfonix (third party) one? :o
I'm maybe misunderstanding something here...

Thanks OP - I think I'll be investing in a pair of these controllers :-D
Have some heat & rep.

Yeah you're misunderstanding near enough everything.

Nintendo make the "Wavebird". It's 100% official and was the very first console controller to be wireless.

"Qfonix" is a shop. What they're selling looks to me like the official wired controller for a reasonable price.

The official ones have "Nintendo" written on them above the start button, that one doesnt. Theres loads of the copies on ebay.

it's a (nintendo gamecube) controller but not a nintendo (gamecube controller)
i would say.. it's a controller for the nintendo gamecube.

i never buy 3rd party controllers, they have always been **** in my experience, they never feel right, and create arguments over who's losing and why.

Mine has arrived already (really quick) and it does say it's a Wii accessory with "Gamecube Compatibility" so it should work on the Gamecube! They also have vibration function, not sure if all Gamecube controllers do or not. Time to test out the GC Zelda games then!
#39
Just a word on the quality of these. They are nowhere near as good as official controllers, and the picture looks similar to a very shoddy third party controller I've got.
#40
Got mine today. Very quick delivery. For the amount of time I will be using this £3.50 is a bargain. It will be a 3rd controller so will hardly get used.
