I seriously do not expect the general public to vote this hot. Those who buy the magazine already will find this deal great as it even gives you a saving on the RRP of the magazine if you dont want a free game.

cold. it may be a good deal for the regulars who buy it, but i'm guessing that would be less than 5% of HUKDers

lol? that doesn't mean its cold that just means its not for you - simple move on.
A deal is hot if its cheap not if its something you need.

a wii gets posted for £10 - cold! already got one..? no.

anyway as for this..not really a hot deal, you are actually paying for the game as you are paying higher price per quarter to get that offer (12 vs 8.43)
If you dont get the game within the first 60 days you need to pay for the whole year meaning it would be ~£14 for the game and still have to pay for the magazines on top of that.
If they send within the first 60 days all well and good but its too big a gamble for a poor game. Not checked terms either but cant they ask you to return game if want to cancel or something?

The magazines are £3.99 so you are paying 12p for the game over the year...the £8.43 is a reduction in the RRP as opposed to a game...

how is it possible to miss my point?

The quarterly subscription price with no game is 8.43
The quarterly subscription price with FREEEE game is 12
price of FREEEE game = subscription price with FREEEE game - subscription price with no game
price of FREEEE game = ~£14
You are paying to get a free item therefore its not free its a lame 'amazing offer'/trick.

I still disagree. You are either getting a free game, or a saving on the RRP of the magazine.
Its up to you to decide whether you want DISCOUNTED magazines or a FREE GAME. You are not paying extra for the game. You are paying RRP for the magazine as opposed to OPTING for a discount as per their other OFFER.

Its pretty much standard that a 25%+ discount is offered on magazine subscriptions.
They have guaranteed sales instead of the magazine not selling on the shelf (the price is marked up to 3.99 to take into account non sales on the shelf - thats not the intrinsic value the company place on it)
Such deals are normal and dont consitute a hot deal.
paying extra above a standard discounted price to get 'free' is a joke.
