Good to see it's back in stock. Definitely one for the collection!

I'm just gonna wait for the whole Mini NES console + controller hype to settle down and then pick one up on the cheap. £7.99 is cheap enough as it is for an official and brand new Nintendo controller but wouldn't make much use of it right now.

Noticed that from Nintendo of America's promotional video on YouTube. You'd think Nintendo would include a long cable considering the original NES controllers' length was pretty long too.

After all these years and the Chinese copycats somehow haven't released a Wii Classic Controller extension cord -- hell, they'd make so much money with it thanks to the Mini NES.

You can use it on Wii and Wii U, If you have homebrew browser on your wii with emulators you can use it on them too

I know but I don't use Wiimotes a whole lot.

... what for? To use the tablet as a display?

If so, then you don't bother with a NES Mini at all and just emulate the games on the tablet.

Just to play it on the actual hardware unless of course its being emulated

Thank you so much!!

I preordered the console from Nintendo website but couldn't preorder an extra controller as they were all out of stock. This is perfect as it means the wife and I can start playing the console together from day one.

can you not buy an original nes for about 8 quid? these days? or are they considered "retro and vintage" and therefore are expensive?
#29
They don't come with 30 games and look rubbish on modern tvs.

And cost about 10 times that.

Except the Wii remote won't have anything to connect to as the console doesn't have Bluetooth.

Nyko? Interesting.

I saw this one yesterday on Amazon ~ https://www.amazon.com/My-Arcade-GamePad-Pro-Ergonomic-Controller/dp/B01M34DLXD/

Unfortunately they don't ship internationally.

You can with a third party controller as such.

Kinda. You can use a Wii to USB port but not sure it works lagless.

Where? NES consoles are going for £30-50 now.

Maybe. Replied to a previous user who's wondering about it.

That's third party and brandless so it could break in a matter of days, weeks or luckily, in a year. I bought a third party GameCube controller for £4.00 and it only lasted me for a few months. Screw that, I only buy official or from reputable third party companies. :)

Sadly that would not work as the gamecube ports are different to the Wiimote plug.

My console's not coming til December, I'm going to have a spare controller for a month :3

The cord length for these controllers is a joke! What were Nintendo thinking...I've cancelled my pre order cause of this deal breaker:(

Dunno if its still the case but Japanese console's had short cables as they took it out, played with it, then it was put away when finished with, come to the West today and people virtually live on their couch and never put the console away..

For an unboxed console you're looking at around £60, higher or lower depending on condition.
