Personally I would pay the extra and buy from pretty much anywhere else. Terrible company!

Personally, I have no problem with them so far. Considering buying Mario cart bundle for 12 months BNPL if available in neon red/blue. I'm sure better deals will come if you can wait.

Oh, is that the reason for the HUKD hatred of Very? I've never understood this long-standing anger...

Only if you have a credit account which not everyone will.

Considering the 10% off electricals for new credit accounts would take this to under £300 for the Zelda bundle, it's very good indeed. Note that the date for the Mario bundle is April, not March.

And you got one year to pay. It's no brainer if you buying switch. I hope everyone can understand.

I've always wondered this too. I've just bought the bundle with 12 switch for £280 using a new account 10% off code. Along with buy now pay in 12 months later! Whats there not to like about that?

I've ordered one from Tesco but to be honest I'm tempted to cancel. There will be so much stock of these on release or if not people will sell after zelda.

I sold my wii u in preparation for how awesome this was meant to be and it's just a wii u that I can carry about and drop because it will be like a brick to hold. The thing thats really worrying is the high temperatures, I bet it runs at being so compact. Most phones will melt if you play games 3 hours a day every day.

To me just feels like they sticking fingers in every pie they can, console, tablet, childrens entertainer, media device, online gaming platform. I know they have to take risks but I think its gonna fail at all of those but probably succeed at being a family entertainer that never leaves the dock so instead of reaching amazing it will 10% of what it could of been and probably confuse most people.

Sorry I'll be getting one anyway just venting :). Ohhhhh zelda and ice cube noises, I'm in... If your not addicted to Nintendo tho, I'd wait till xmas or around mario time, when the novelty has worn off.

Yeah, I ended up getting the 1-2 switch bundle for £320, adding a £30 off voucher bringing it to £290. Already have Zelda coming for £38 from Amazon using the £10 off voucher a couple of weeks ago, and a 128GB sd card for £25.

Any reason why you've already bought a massive SD card? Are you planning to buy most of your games digitally, if so are nintendo games usually the same or more expensive that physical copies from Amazon?

Excellent, by the time you come to pay for it only Nintendo will be making games for it...

Stay away from Very, awful company when trying to get a refund, if they let you then you have to wait up to 21 days for it lol.

High temperatures? I've never heard of any anecdotes about that. One of the whole reasons for the tablet display being 720p is to help mitigate power and heating issues.

You can get 1-2 Switch for £32.85 at Base, so cold from me I'm afraid.

Fair enough, can't argue with that ;)

Another over priced machine by nintendo! Should be half the price of what it advertised as.
#23
Got one on order with them myself.
No problems really with Very. Only negative I'd give is their choice of delivery company, but I've booked the day off to make sure I'm in to collect to avoid any issues.
Can also pay over 12 months interest free, so can't complain!

HEAT applied, only because it is the most eagerly anticipated console release in ages, and because it is such a big hit there is genuine supply & demand issues.

Pretty much all Nintendo products have supply issues, they never manufacture enough, I remember dashing across Birmingham to a Toys'R'Us that had one N64 in stock after the store I pre-ordered as was sent less consoles that they were expecting. A significant amount with be on eBay on launch day.

They are a relatively small operation though compared to the big mainstream console makers. Not really geared up for the mass market as a result. Maybe this is one area we can allow them some slack?

All I was saying is supply issues are a common theme when it comes to Nintendo. Didn't realise I was erm being tight, I guess is the opposite of slack.

Not understanding you mate. Allowing Nintendo some slack (as in allowing them some leeway) re the frequent stocking issues should not suggest I think your tight? I thought being a HUKD'r was about being a bit tight with purchase decisions anyway :)

No, I can see why that was confusing. I'm meaning I am not really denying Nintendo leeway just saying supply issues are common with them and aren't always an indication of the console being more eagerly awaited. Having said that it will sell out, hopefully mainly to people who want one and not scalpers on eBay but a significant amount will end up that way. When Mario is out I will probably look at the deals then tbh, my pile of shame on the 'mainstream' consoles can hold me until then.

Don't try and defend Very by making out I used the wrong code. They emailed a £30 off £60 code, didn't work, said it didn't apply to me when I contacted them about it, then sent the order I'd placed, even though I'd cancelled it 20 minutes after placing it. I'm not accepting this order, so it can take 10 days for it to be returned, and it can take them 21 days to process a return, they won't close an account without the return being processed, which then places me outside the cooling off period for a credit agreement. In addition, if the return isn't credited to my account, I'm still liable for the charges placed on my account when the payment date is due, for items I don't and never have possessed. If I don't pay, I can get hit with late payment charges, which I agreed to when I opened the credit account, and I can't avoid because they won't close the account. People think Very are incompetent, but they're actually quite smart and have figured out a way around the protections you get by law as a consumer. So, to reiterate my original statement, Very can **** off.

Spoke to customer service on phone and on live chat. Both said delivery is by Royal Mail so quite reassuring, I guess?
